Who else is excited for Korra?
These guys are Hot! (pun def intended)
What can i say about this picture? i started it aaaaaaaaaages ago way back when the trailer was first released and it's been sitting in a folder ever since waiting for some love! >.<
I'm really proud of this piece! i put alot of time and effort into it and the colouring was a real struggle! i feel i probly rushed the colouring a bit, but sitting in a room with 38 degrees C i'm quite happy to be done with it!
I would be super stoked for a critique on this picture! some advice?

I'm......... weirdly mixed about Korra. It's interesting because some people are like 'I don't know what you're talking about!' when I say that, and others are like 'I totally feel the same!'
I really found Korra's voice actor annoying lol.
And I find the conversation and the odd comic pauses disjointed.
It seems like a completely different style of writing then the last show. Which would be fine for me, if I didn't spend half the episode going WHY DOESN'T IT FLOW or SPEAK LIKE A NORMAL PERSON x)
A part from that, I really like Bolin lol, and the air bender family. I want her to like Bolin x) The love triangle episode had me all
I thought it was funny but mean how they eluded to the fact that Zuko found his found in the first episode but didn't tell us how XD

Lol nah! i will totally agree with that! lots of the dialogue seems quite forced! especially the first episode! i think it's settling down but i def get what you mean!

Typing is good! and yup i have to say my fav characters atm are the the airbending children! especially ikki! fantastic characters!

I don't have a premium, so here is my critque. . . . . First off proportions are great, some times, especally at an angle it can be hard, so you aced it! Nice colors, you really used the warm colors to play up the picture and gave it a sense of a oncoming battle, or a finnished one! and their are a few things you could work on, like Bolin(just incase my memory fails me, the one to the left) his arm looks just a bit skinny, He's kind of chubby, so his arm would be a bit better off a little larger, second is(I'm currently watching a red/orangeish sunset) the figures should either have a darker glow around them, or a bright one because the sun is right behind them, and last, which it's fine they way they are is Korra's hair might be too red! But if you choose to ignore this, go ahead, YOur work is awesome, and it gave a little blood sugar boost as I wait hungerly for the season primier!!!!!! Which is next year :` ((my teary face failed big time!) Anyway I can't wait to see what you crank out next!

i agree with what you said about bolin's arm! it should be bigger! i think out of the 3 i had less inspiration for him >.<
the colouring was hard! ur right i was going for a warm feeling and played around alot with the colours and shadows till it came to this point! i didn't want to make the shadows lighting too much stronger because it started taking away the details!
hahahaha yup! Korra's hair is def too red XD thanks! also her left hand (and right for that matter) are completely stuffed! hands have always been hard!

thanks! and good question! i was trying to work with worm colours so every base colour was from the red part of the colour circle! but i guess ur right! maybe a little too warm XD

and colouring? hahaha ok so like i said i kinda skipped out on proper colouring XD the hardest part was getting the base colours! every single base colour came from the red side of the colour circle which made the blue very hard XD but anyways all i did was set a layer over the top on multiply and painted all the shadows with a light gray! hahahahhaha XD then i just smacked on some lighting >.<
but it was def a new technique for me so for that i think it turned out well!

I know, it's so hard to do blue on an orange or red based picture X_X I try to avoid it as much as I can, lol!
A thing to remember next time you're doing a warm-toned picture is that sometimes pure gray can look like blue. That's usually what I do.
Conversely, with a cold-toned picture, pure gray can look like tan or a warmer color.
