Absolutely in love with The Phantom! So I've recently been immersing myself back into the beautifully written book, Le Fantôme de l'Opéra, by Gaston Leroux while listening to the 25th Anniversary of ALW's musical masterpiece The Phantom of the Opera. So, of course I was naturally interested to see something a little more cinematic for such a fantastic story.
That's when I stumbled across the 1990s miniseries The Phantom of the Opera, which is based off of Arthur Kopit's book and musical, Phantom. The book, itself, is loosely based on Leroux work, and the musical (though it has yet to appear on Broadway) has had over 1000 productions. Therefore, it's not surprising that it was then introduced to television with the two part series staring Terri Polo as Christine and Charles Dance as the Phantom.
In my opinion, it is one of the best portrayals of the Phantom's character put on screen. It's so hard NOT to sympathize with him
Unless you already saw lol >w<
