Description Lyrics belong to Yeston and Kopit's musical, Phantom. However, I decided to use the 1990 versions of the characters (Charles Dance and Terri Polo), since I favor them more. This one I also did in watercolors for my Basic Painting class! Β

Enjoy!Β

K, this is awkward.... Upon viewing this I immediately went into shock and lost, like, half of my brain ability (I'm totally typin this all with my left thumb. Jk) so I can't even begin to aptly describe how awesome this is.
Seriously. No flattery. Not even ephemeral phangirl euphora talking here. This is without a doubt arguably the absolute best Cherik Anything I have ever found. From the actual artistic elements to the Phantomy ones. The way you got the paper to be colored all shade-y (i don't do technical terms  sorry) in such perfect places. The penmanship, like that y and that little m, and the L!!! The HAIR!!!!!!! OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS, THE HAIR--AND THAT KISS!!! Hands, shading, mask, SECOND MASK(!), CLOTHES(!!!), perspective, expressions---I can LITERALLY not exaggerate to say I've never seen such perfection. It's soooooooooooooo beautiful..... I love his face in the first, and his clothes both (especially the second one). I love the way you positioned them in the second one--I think it's truly brilliant. And they way they're standing together there makes me in danger of literally imploding my lungs with geeky sighing. Her hair in the second one is really, reallyΒ good, and (weird as it feels and, I'm sure, sounds) his legs there too.
Oh, omigosh. "Light to me" and there, that light behind her, wow, I don't know if you did that to such a degree purposefully, but that's amazingly gorgeous and ingenious.
I find this all intensely moving and poignantly beautiful in every single detail, which is why I tried to make my review so detailed; it's the only way I can think of to express how deeply this touches me.
...Yep, I still feel kinda silly saying that, but it's very true. ^^

Thank yoooooou for making this! The Charlies Dance/Yeston Kopit Phantom doesn't get too much lovin' so it's great to see more art for this section of the fandom

I am a little peeved that we never got to see his face, but I loved this quieter, more restrained and compassionate version of the Phantom. Β It was great to hear his backstory too. Β For me, Gerik has been the face of the Phantom, but Cherik, even from before I finished the POTO miniseries for the first time, was his soul to me. Β  Β Unfulfilled desire for Christine and Erik to be together taken to the maximum in the moment he died.

I do too! This version makes him more human, easier to sympathize with and relatable. I just wanted to reach through the screen and hug him ;3; and I swear I get all choked up and cry like a baby at the end no matter how many times I've seen it. Β

The only thing I didn't like about this version is how they never show his face (seriusly, what's so bad about his face?! I want to know!) but it was really cool to see more of Erick's backstory for a change!
This is awesome! I really like it!

Lol my mom felt the same way when we watched this version. XD literally every time he took off his mask and psyched out the audience she would roll her eyes I actually didn't mind, too much because I was more enthralled and interested in his personality and character. So I suppose that's a good thing lol. But I do wonder tho, what Erik was hiding under that mask Β

actually, someone ended up writing an alternate story where the Phantom won, though I wouldn't really recommend reading it because it was an erotic novel (I did not know this until I was in the midst of reading it my reaction was both embarrassment and hysterical laughter with some of the scenes ) not to mention it can be very very dumb with the witting, it's so corny it made me laugh even more. And it made me wonder what the characters of the original novel would think if they saw it
I still have it too, mainly because I'm a Phantom of the Opera fan, and I can get a good laugh at some of the stuff erotic fiction has, because it's stupid and sometimes stupid makes me laugh

Omg XDDD really? lol God, I can just imagine the corny writing

Hmmm, an alternate ending version or a sequel where he gets Christine Sounds like an interesting challenge.Β

oh he gets her alright in more ways then one but if your that interested I can give you the name that (I think) I remember and if it's not right I'll do a man hunt for the book, it's buried in my room... somewhere...
also on a side note the author who wrote the erotic novel of the Phantom of the Opera also did one of the Count of Monti Cristo claiming it to be an "Untold account" as to what happened, I haven't found it and part of me kinda doesn't want too... but part of me wonders just how corny that is too damn my curiosity it shall be the death of me!
