Finally! One of the Legion of Super Heroes finest. Everyone's favorite strong, rock guy...Blok! Yeah, I never heard of him either. The client is a huge Legion fan and he took mercy on me. Instead of requesting a plain ol' guy or gal in a simple spandex outfit, he went with Blok which was a lot of fun.Prismacolor cool and warm markers with white paint on vellum bristol board

Nice Blok, but he was usually shown as being quite a bit "thicker" and broader. Not quite Thing or Hulk proportions, but big nevertheless.

I really like this piece. I love the background and the little rocky bits...especially the ones that are outlined in white.
It all just seems to flow together. It looks like you had fun doing it too.

Awesome work! I love how you've managed to give musculature the feeling that they are slabs of stone layed out on top of his bones. Especially the right leg and left bicep... wicked! Great composition as well. You always find a way to balance out the whitespace so nicely.
