Anyway, I love Yoshi, he's my favourite Mario-based character and I had this idea running around my mind for a long time, but since I knew it would have been one of those tedious tasks, it wasn't until recently that I felt motivated to do it. Don't let the bright colours and cartoony look fool you, as this took just as long to create as my more detailed deviations, and thats even when using a found image to help me out when drawing their poses
Anyway, I hope each type of Yoshi clearly resembles a different fruit, but heres a list in Clockwise order starting from the bottom-middle...
melon, orange, watermelon, grape, apple, pineapple, strawberry, coconut, blueberry and mango

green yoshi = melon yoshi
light blue yoshi = orange yoshi
orange yoshi = watermelon yoshi
purple yoshi = grape yoshi
blue yoshi = apple yoshi
white yoshi = pineapple yoshi
red yoshi = strawberry yoshi
black yoshi = coconut yoshi
yellow yoshi = blueberry yoshi
pink yoshi = mango yoshi

i am just comparing this to the yoshi's island ds artwork, and i found out what they are.

I can see this being an alternate race of Yoshis that took on the colors of the fruits they ate. A rare species if you will. ^^

Another one like Yoshi's Story perhaps where you are awarded points for eating as much of the same type of fruit in a row as possible

I was fixing to say, "this needs a DD" then I saw you did! X3 it is amazing! I like how you didn't JUST make plain yoshi colors, you added colors of fruits to them. the one thing I think should be different, is the coconut.. itΒ looks kind of awkward with the 3 holes, but, then again, if you didn't, it would look like a kiwi yoshi! X3 but you still did amazing job on the coconut yoshi. I love the furry texture, just like a coconut.

Yea I actually remember trying to decide how to do the coconut Yoshi, some coconuts don't even have a furry texture but seem more green and plastic-like, and as for the three holes - it does sorta look like three nostrils

wow... I thought the green coconuts were immature coconuts. X3 that shows how much I know about coconuts. lol xD yeah, though a plain coconut (not a coconut yoshi) looks like a derpy face. two round eyes, and a mouth. XD I'm not trying to tear you down, but trying to help. (though look who's talkin, I'm a horrid artist. 3X{I'm 14 though. can't be too harsh. lol

I think the green ones aren't ripe either, but half the time I see coconuts featured in something (in an already fallen or picked state) they're illustrated in green 
To me the holes make them look like bowling balls

*looks up about coconuts* they are unripe coconuts. the coconuts are harvested unripe, like bananas. (if I read right) bananas are still green when picked. when bananas are ripe, they burst open. but when they do, bugs ruin it. so the bananas in grocery store are 'technically' unripe. :3 or so I've heard. but, yeah, they do look like natures bowling balls! xD and purple eggplants are pins!
