Description A Metallic Starling Aplonis metallica at the San Diego Zoo. These red-eyed, iridescent birds weave scruffy-looking, hanging nests for their young. The zoo's captive flock an entertaining, active group of birds to watch.

I've seen the ones at the zoo adding to nests, but I'm not sure if the keepers give them a "start" on the nests as they do with the flamingos. Never seen them starting from scratch, but they are fun to watch!
