We are almost 3 months into the new year. The name of the month March dates back to Roman times, when they prepared for the fighting season - so they named it after Mars, the god of war.

But this month is not only associated with fights. It marks the beginning of spring in the northern hemisphere. We can also observe the spring equinox - in some traditions called Ostara -, which usually falls around March 20. In many traditions this is a time for celebrating the re-awakening of life and nature as well as fertility, which are often symbolized by eggs, rabbits or even snakes.
Especially in the end of winter one can observe a lot of crows on their search for food, hence one of the many names of the month is crow moon.
