Description
In the northern hemisphere August is the month of the first harvest, especially for wheat and some fruits. This plays an important role in some (neo-)pagan traditions, which celebrate harvest festivals like Lughnasadh (in case you celebrate something: have a good one!). While harvest moon is an old name in (central) Europe, there exist some other names like sturgeon moon.
Since I didn't want to draw sturgeons (although they are quite cool), I looked for some other animals, who show special behaviors in August. For example many European lizards start their retreat to hibernation and white storks depart into the south.
Do you celebrate something in August? Or have you observed something beautiful in nature? Let me know in the comments
