I guess you're right, but considering his high standards when it comes to his scores, i think he may have gotten some scores that were high but not high enough, and he probably ended up getting all grumpy instead of relieved or happy fffttttt

pffft he looked pretty upset on that podium-- and he was in 2nd place, which isn't bad! Kitty got some really high standards =3=
I think one of the only situations that could get Yuri really upset during a competition (excluding external factors ) would be if he ended up failing a jump and injuring himself ;O; or if he got injured during warmup. I bet he'd get pretty ballistic if that ever happened

Yep,mainly if the injury was serious enough to withdraw him from the competition ;A; I can imagine him sulking and getting super grumpy for months almost, but because he was angry at himself for getting injured
