Description I decided it had been too long since I'd last done an Egyptian picture, and Kierstal re-awakened my love for Egyptology, so this is what came of it.

The sketch sat under my bed for weeks; I also got ill while it was still in the process of being sketched, so it seemed like it took forever to finish.

Her name means Goddess of Darkness in Egyptian. I couldn't decide for the longest time what color to make her fur; it wound up on yellow from advice. I just hope it doesn't drown out the gold. Anyway...quickie background in Photoshop.

I'll admit that I was a bit surprised to see this in digital medium. I don't know how you did it but I could swear the coloring on this character is mixed medium... It looks like a mixture of marker and colored pencil. No matter if is this is purely digital or traditional, you have won my admiration.

Actually, right you are :] The character is traditional medium, pencils and markers, and the background is digital. I submitted this before deviantart started redoing their picture categories (I think it was back in the day of "Indie Art" selections and whatnot) anyway, after that happened all my picture categories were a bit screwed up.

I can't remember either what category now mixed media anthros go under. Hm. I'll have to look it up ^^

Thank you for the comment

Heh, glad to hear it.

As for categories, I just throw my stuff under Anthro; Traditional Art; etc. I know there is a "Mixed Medium" category too... but in retrospect, I think you might have been correct in picking the "Digital artwork" category because I believe that any artwork that enhances or includes work digitally falls into that generalization.

Also, if you don't mind, I'll be watching you after this. I remember seeing some of your older artwork long ago, and I found it to be rather captivating. Take care.

Beautifull work there.
The detail of the golden jewelry and the folds of her dress look realy great.
Her yellow fur the blue eye makeup, dress part and the pendant stand out real nice.

Ahh, yeah; I did accidentally end up screwing her hands up a a bit. It was a combination of things; ran out of room on the paper, and inked so many things before I realized my mistakes.

Thanks!

OHH! I LOVE IT!! THATS SO FRECKING AWESOME!

And now to critece cauze im bored

Is it just me or is her right arm a bit short for her hand?
and the brests are a bit to pronounced under the fabric... although i must say i love the way you tinted her hair slighly blue in some areas and you made the gold deep enough but the yellow fur does take away from it... if you would have made it a bit paler yellow then it wouldnt have tooken away from the gold

And that was a little peacie of bordem from Tessy's brain!
!
none of the less the coloring is AMAZING! ~

Thanks!

Ah, and a good eye you have! Yes; her breasts were too pronounced, but I didn't realize that error until after I'd inked it and couldn't really do much about it. I tried to go over it with the vertical detail lines with my pencils, and it sort of helped, but never truly rid me of the problem.

Most likely her arms did wind up being too short, I ran out of room on my stinking sketchbook paper....*must buy larger one or scale it down a bit*

Muchas gracias for the thoughts on it!

I love how the curtains seems to shimmer. (Maybe that's just my crappy graphic card, but I like it ) Great mischievious expression whilst still retaining an aire of eloquence. The gold compliments her fur and eyes very well. I like the touch of blue with her attire; it adds a bit of variety, but still keeps the typical Egyptian depiction. Her hair is brilliantly created and seemingly perfect as the Egyptian royalty would have worn it. The asp on her crown is a nice touch since it was an important part of Egyptian life. Wonderful submission.

Ohh, I just love the history of Gods. Especially the Greek and Egyptian. lol, its always funny to see peoples rendition of how the imagine they would appear. I always love the women you draw. Their not fake like some people draw them - petite little waists with huge Pamela Anderson breasts. Yours are always in proportion. I really like your shading, its always so good and giving the picture depth. her pose is quite simple, but nice and I like the dress. Its similar to one you did before. The hair and headress are fancy and I don't think the fur takes the attention away from the gold jewellery..excpt maybe on the gold drapes going down her chest. Haha, and she has those handcuff things, which always me think of bondage and kinkyness. Again, the creases are amazing The only negative critisim is that i don't think the background does the picture justic. Apart from that, well done.

I'm so glad you noticed the female anatomy, since I do make it a point to make them (while still idealistic, at least _REALISTIC_) figured. I think I've mentioned before, but I attempt to model them after my own body, which is kind of curvaceous, not skinny, and not fat.

Glad to hear the gold doesn't destract! Ah, and you are right about the background; I was going to leave it just plain white, but I thought it needed at least something, and I also wanted to just be done with the picture so I can move on to something new. So the result is one of those half-ass backgrounds, ha. Then again, the focal point is the character, so I'm not too troubled. I just didn't want to leave it plain ol' white.

Thanks so much Jessica
