Description The Burlington Northern has been gone a long time but the colours linger on. A quick stop in Sioux City, South Dakota found me next to the shop. Where I live there would be fences and nasty warning signs. Out here I was just looking for a place to park!

Glad to know that the Class 1's haven't fenced off and warning-signed everything... seriously, I can't even go down to Walong Siding (the actual loop section) of Tehachapi Loop anymore. Probably because of some kids who got hurt or something... rules of the rails being written in blood and all...

I had a similar experience in Rochester MN and Rapid City SD... I was able to get up close and personal to the DM&E... in Wall SD I was able to chat with crews waiting to meet a train coming in and get info on arrival!

I wonder if it's one of the de-tubocharged "GP25s" or a GP50-3?

According to the roster (see the link in my journal) it is one of the GP25's.
