Description A Kansas City Southern passenger train escapes though the Kansas City Union Station throat tracks on a muggy June afternoon in 1967. This is a companion shot to KCS Varnish I .

One of KCS's hand-Me-down Observations. From what i heard it was kinda hard to get pictures of those EX-NYC cars. Nice shot by the way.

That obs car looks like a secondhand car. KCS bought several secondhand passenger cars in the early sixties to spruce up their consists when other railroads were killing trains left and right.

It is, KCS acquired this in the early 60's. Yes, the original stuff from 1940 was up until the used stuff, smooth sided.
