Description The brakeman from a Kansas City Terminal switch job steps down to fend off raging baggage carts after a hot summer rain in 1967 Kansas City. Look closely at the REA box that the ALCo switcher is tugging along and you will see that it used to have windows. This was a WW II troop sleeper re-purposed as a refrigerator car (note the roof hatches and insulated plug door) for inter-city delivery service.
