I don't think Cloudtail could be 100% a Persian given that Princess isn't a Persian but eh maybe daddy had very strong genes xD

Hm I like the flat-nose dovewing. She could be a persian since Cloudstar's father looked like a persian, and he's white too and a lot of persians are white, so I guess Whitewing would've had 25 procent persian, that would make dovewing... 12,5 procent persian! xD

if Cloudtail was a purebred Persian, then firestar would have to be too because Cloudtail wouldn't be purebred if Princess wasn't and if Princess was Firestar would have to be

It would also depend on what Sandstorm looked like, as well as Jayfeather, Hollyleaf, and Lionblaze's father (not saying his name because spoilers). If Sandstorm was a domestic shorthair (mutts, cat edition) and Firestar was a persian then Squirrelflight and Leafpool would probably have a squished in muzzle and longer fur, but not as distinct as a their dad. Then for Firestar's grandchildren (assuming their dad's an oriental cat) then the they will probably have longer fur and some oriental features like bigger ears or a more lanky body. This isn't even taking dominant and recessive genes into consideration (since we're talking about fictional cats we can be a little more lenient)
All this stuff about genes is like mixing paint. If you have pure red and pure blue your going to get purple, but then if you add some yellow you're going to get brown. As you add more colors/traits, many of which are already mixed, the more muddy everything gets.
(sorry for the ramble, animal genetics fascinate me. Especially when your dealing with cat and dog breeds)

Thing is though, Persians are usually displayed in media as being snobby and/or mary-sueish, which doesn't really fit the personality of either Dovewing, Cloudtail or Whitewing for that matter. While it would make sense for Dove to be a Persian in the sense of fluffieness, that would technically make Ivypool a Persian too, which i don't think anyone can imagine her as XD

But considering Dovewing's immature behavior, it isn't too far fetched (imagine how intimidating Ivypool would be as such a fluffy cat!). Still, Tiffanies would look great in TC, and Fuzzypelt (paternal great-grandfather slash great-great grandfather of Dovewing, because incest) could definitely fit into that breed if he was purebred.

The thing is though, Dovewing was never immature. She was simply and example of a young/cat person who's struggling with having the fate of the entire Clans on her shoulders, something the other young propagandized cats in warriors seemed oddly and unrealistically okay with. I do agree that she isn't very intimidating though...the Erins need to fix that XD

oh pff i hardly think that's true, i think it's just easier/more fun for people to not draw off a specific reference/breed because they're all pretty interbred
but i definitely recommend AnnMY ! she's has a ton of insight on warrior genetics and her purebred project has definitely got me thinking more about

YAY, finally someone else who thinks she has green eyes! People keep telling me that they're blue, but tbh the Erins have changed her eye colors so often that I'm just picking the one I like best (and the most realistic one at that), which is green/hazel. --woop full colored cats can't have blue eyes
