The light lines in this remind me very much of Odilon Redon's "The Teeth," where Redon created the lines around the mouth so deeply that they are almost engraved the paper. The sense that these sweeping lined might be marks carved in the canvas (or paper) give the fiery female shapes a contradictory yet beautiful sense of the transitory - as though they are both bound and in motion; a freeflowing current of energy yet rooted like grass.

The contrast of the blocky swatches of color within the figures' outlines with those sweeping lines also contributes to the tension between rootedness and flight. Even more reminding me of fire, where the flame can't leave the fuel without extinguishing itself.

Bodies in pause; spirits straining against boundaries. Gorgeous.

No blue tones? This fountain of earthen primeval artistry resonates with archetypal tugs and pulls at the core of my hypothalamus. My eye darts around these sirens;a tribal, fused pagan triumvirate. This work gives a tangible whisking (shape, outline, sketch, removal, patterned) flow of the artist inner self , moreover the fluid composition, brush dynamic , and harmony of the entire piece grips me as one of your more lucid and personal works.
