So many things I want to say relating to this piece...

First of all, I have been working on this idea for a very long time. Like, half a year at least. I, however, am (was) incapable of drawing the female figure proficiently. Hopefully, that has changed. I had to use a LOT of general references, including looking at myself in front of a mirror WAY more than is healthy by even my standards.

Second of all, for an artist who LOVES drawing weapons, whether of my own design or not, I HATE these two props. Brotherhood's hilt is insanely difficult, and it's not even the first time I've drawn it. Same goes for Yuna's staff. The top of the staff is ridiculous, especially when drawing it at the angle I was attempting here. I'm not gonna give you some false modesty here. I owned that shit, and I still feel like it could look better. If I had just colored black the angled parts, it would looks way smoother, but I felt like it would be cheating a bit.

I did cheat a little by drawing this whole thing at an angle. It's a cheat I love to use but seldom do, drawing something slanted on the paper. It helps disorient the audience enough that it's harder to notice imperfections in the anatomy, angle, pose, etc.

Someone should color this. Also, I should start making money off my drawings if I'm gonna bust this kind of shit out.
