Description    The night air was heavy and tense, the large dark lion sat and watched over his land. The stench of the swamp flooded his senses, his ear twitched as a twig snapped behind him. He looked back to see a lion who looked identical to him, "What now?"
"Boy, you need to know the laws if you wish to be the alpha." the other lion said.
   "I know the laws."
   "But you don't respect them."
   "Maybe, I don't respect what you've made."
The second lion's eyes glowed. "You've no respect for your sister? Or your mother?" he smirked "Or yourself?"
The large dark lion growled and faced the other lion, "You did nothing for me!"
"Oh, Exeavier, haven't I?" the lion's voice echoed as he gestured to the SwampLands.
Exeavier looked around at the Swamp, there was nothing but darkness around him, he looked down and the only land he seen was right beneath his paws. He looked back at the other lion, he was shrouded in darkness, his eyes glowed brighter.
"Oh, dear boy." he began "I made everything you know. I made this land, the lands beyond this." his voice echoed into the darkness that swirled around them. "I made your mother into the lioness she was. I made you." he snarled as he inched closer to Exeavier.
"No..." Exeavier backed up. "Y-you..." at that moment, looking into the eyes that have been so crucial of him, so critical of his actions, the eyes that watched him with disgust as he grew up, Exeavier realized this lion was dead. He had been for a while. Exeavier's mane was now larger than it was moments before, he was larger. His scars showed ages of healing, his own eyes shone bright with fury. He stood tall against this lion, "You may have brought me into this world, but you did not make me! I made myself, the lion I am today is a result of you not being the lion you should have been. A father is supposed to care for his cubs. You did nothing for us. Mare and I grew up strong because of the lionesses. They cared for us, they cared for our mother. You, on the other hand..." he lunged at the apparition.
"Just you wait, boy, your true colors will show eventually." the echo whirled around in Exeaviers head as the lion disappeared.
Exeavier paced the overhang of his den, the air was damp and musty, the wind carried the scent of three lions. He watched in the direction of the scent trail, soon he would have to make a choice.
