Xeriah glared at the lion, her rage boiling over as she unsheathed her claws and prepared to leap for him.
"Wait." Sciath called to his sister. "Are you crazy? He's huge. He will kill you."
Xeriah turned to see Dwala getting to her paws. She snorted in agreement as she picked up her herbs.
Xeriah growled under her breath, "Fine." she glanced back the lion.
Dwala spat out her herbs again, "EXPLAIN." she demanded.
Akura was startled by the young lioness's vocal outburst, but Xeriah and Sciath didn't even seem to notice.
The lion looked from Xeriah to Dwala, Dwala was staring herd at him. He pulled his gaze back to Xeriah. "You don't know who I am, do you?" he asked, more concerned, now, than angry. "I knew a lioness along time ago.. your resemblance to her is striking."
Xeriah's ear twitched, "I once seen a lioness who looked like me."
The lion looked shocked, "Once?"
"Yes."
The lion thought for a moment before continuing, "She was..." he looked at the three of them, "Special... to me.."
"LOVER." Dwala said.
"No." he replied. "Not that i never wanted to be her mate. She was beautiful." he began to circle Xeriah.
Xeriah kept her eyes forward, never wavering.
"However, fate had different plans for us." he stated. "She became mates with another. Born the lioness I was destined to meet."
"What?" Xeriah swiveled her head to look at the lion.
"DILLUSIONAL." Dwala chimed in.
"Quiet, you undesired piece of-" he turned and snapped at Dwala, before he could finish he was cut off by Sciath.
"Don't!" Sciath growled, leaping ahead to guard his sister.
The lion stepped back, in the new rays of the dawn light, he could see that this young lion resembled himself. Though smaller, the resemblance was uncanny.
Xeriah sighed, looking to the lands they had come to find. "If you know about this lioness... come with us..." Xeriah paced toward the shallow lake that lead into the Swamplands. Her companions followed behind her, Sciath leaped between his sisters and the dark lion with a swift low growl. Akura picked up Sen by his scruff and carried him the rest of the way.
