Description
Axolusa
The Queen Mantle Dragon
Elder Dragon
Elements: Thunder
Ailments: Thunderblight, Slimed (Like Muddy, but deals damage until freed)
The Axolusa is a strange creature. While the species itself is said to be a leviathan, it has only been fought in its Elder Dragon state. The Axolusa controls the slime around it with its electrical attacks, stretching itself out and giving it regenerative properties. It is found in the cave area of the Luminous Swamp.
The Axolusa lives in a cave system deep undergound, full of water and abundant with life. In these pools, there lives a microscopic life form that feeds on electrical energy, like Thunderbugs. The Axolusa has a surprisingly powerful electrical prowess, which makes the slime attracted to it. It commands the slime with electrical shocks, like nerves sending signals. It usually stays in it's little cave area. The problems arises, however, from the slime itself. With it's new abundant source of energy, it begam to take over the landscape, digesting anything in sight. This is why the guild sends hunters when the slime is spotted. However, the Axolusa will not leave the slime defenseless, and will protect it.
Attacks: The axolusa's main ability would be its ability to stretch its limbs, including the two head-like limbs on it's back. It also uses these limbs as electrical outlets, releasing thunder out of both heads. If it's tail is cut, the slime will grow over it, letting it continue it's tail-based attacks. It's slime will also be present around the battlefield, which can trap you temporarily. When the axolusa is enraged, the lights on it's arms turn red, and wings-like membranes will extend out it's head-limbs. It will start to fly around the arena. It's Super Move involves it surrounding itself in a ball of slime, rolling around the area incredibly fast, leaving a trail of electricity in it's wake.
Nicknames: THE QUEEN is the only thing you can call her, no questions asked. This monster is currently the favorite out of all the ones I have thought of, so hopefully you like her! I originally planned to make a hydra monster that could realistically exist. The slime really was what got the ball rolling. She's based off axolotls, jellyfish, Portuguese man-o'-wars (which actually aren't jellyfish) and hydras. Maybe there would be a thunder brachy subspecies? Tell me what you think.
