Biography/History:

Raised in Goldenrod, Johto, Luc D Sharpe was a single child, raised in what seemed to be a happy, well-off family. This was not the case. His father, a high-paid lawyer, thought nothing of his son or wife and often told them both exactly that. Luc’s mother, a frail little creature, drunk away her husbands harsh words and as a result couldn’t recognise her son if she saw him on the street.

This drove Luc to raise himself above it all. He grew distant from others, not caring what others thought of him.

At 13 – Luc found his first Pokemon, a wounded Scyther. On attempting to help it, the Scyther lashed out and tore up Luc’s right arm, scarring the boy permanently. Catching the Scyther, Luc (angry and hurt by the bug-pokemon’s attack) healed the pokemon, but then stored it away.

Instead of taking his chance to get away from his home and journeying away with his Scyther, Luc studied hard and at 21 he became a lawyer just like his father – in an attempt to somehow make his father proud. If anything, this just made his father more hateful towards his son, who was showing more promise than himself.

Fury drove Luc from that point. He worked even harder, and moved up in power, until he had absolute control of the firm his father worked for.
This was the turning point for Luc. The point where he felt powerful for the first time in his life. He had hundreds of men and women working for him - including his cold, hateful father - and Luc found that he loved that feeling. He wanted to hold onto it. But as months passed; the thrill he had initially felt, died away.

Then, he realised he needed more of that feeling. He needed more power.
In the months before burning down his firm (killing hundreds, including his father) Luc set himself up financially (by embezzling several millions of dollars away into overseas accounts) and by getting his hands on two new pokemon – a Vaporeon and a Steelix. He then had them, with his Scyther – turned Scizor – trained into obedient fighting-machines by a well-paid trainer.

Now, Luc is branching out and travelling throughout the regions, searching for something that can satisfy his hunger for power.
Soon, Luc will be drawn, like hundreds of others, to the Helios Conference; and it is there, that he will find exactly what he is looking for.

Personality

Luc feels nothing for others and sees no reason to get close to anyone, including his pokemon. Instead, he sees everyone – pokemon and human alike – as tools to help him succeed. As distant as he is, Luc has a charming way with others; developed from years as a cut-throat lawyer and businessman. He is also highly intelligent and manipulative.

While most things don’t affect him, Luc craves power and strives for it. This has made Luc ambitious and violent; so much so that Luc gets what he wants, when he wants it… And if he wants something done, he does it himself. He hardly ever relies on others to do anything for him, and if he ever does, he usually has them blackmailed so that any form of resistance will likely result in someone’s death.

Scizor
Gender: Male
Level: 75
Scizor – or Scyther – was captured by Luc in what it considers to be a moment of weakness. Attacking the youth in a desperate attempt to escape, Scyther regretted its actions instantly. He wasn’t given a chance to redeem himself, as he was stored away for many years after that. He grew bitter and distant from other pokemon.

Then, when Scyther least expected it – he was plucked out of storage and met his master’s two new pokemon. Before jealousy could get to him, Scyther was traded over to a highly paid trainer (and, as a result evolved), who then rapidly trained the lot of them over a couple of months.

Unlike the others, Scizor worked hard for his master – terrified that if he didn’t, Luc would store him away again and forget him. His hard work paid off. When he was handed back to Luc, Scizor was the powerful pokemon his master needed and wanted.

Vaporeon
Gender:Female
Level: 75
Bred in an Eevee farm, Vaporeon was hand chosen by her master – who then chose her evolution stone. She barely got a chance to get to know her master before she was traded over to a high paid trainer – who trained her, and two other pokemon, up rapidly.

While the other two pokemon were distant from her, Vaporeon tried to get closer, and still does to this day. Now, returned to her master, Vaporeon does the same with Luc. But she is often ignored or pushed away.

Steelix
Gender: Male
Level: 75
Steelix was trained by his previous owner, who only cared for brute strength. Then, one day, his trainer was paid a small sum and traded Steelix to Luc.

Steelix barely got to meet his new trainer, before he was traded to a high-paid trainer, who rapidly trained him and two other pokemon. This series of events happened so rapidly, Steelix was unable to find it in himself to reach out to the two other pokemon. Instead, he concentrated on his training, and when returned to his new master, made sure he would always be of value.
