Description An old pic inspired by SoundGarden's classic song.

My idea of a "Quantum Singularity" or Black Hole, viewed afar.

I based the ideas off what Hubble showed this thing to be.

Ain't much but enjoy

Yeah...that was back in the day that I thought this was way important etc etc..

Not so paranoid now

It was just a guess based on stuff spouted about from Hubble many years ago

Thank you sir for your great words

Was just browsing around your gallery and had to laugh again how similar our both pieces are. Worst of all is, our color schemes are even complementary colors, basically preciesly opposite to each other on the color wheel . And that is on top of our focal point being in the middle, and us both having some kind of eye catcher in the bottom left and top right corners. Only difference is that you have an astronaut observing and me a spaceship flying

It has its moment - but not in the league of your Galactic Gateway - that is just speechless epicness...

But thank you for the fave and visiting sir

The fact you have the figure in the forground saring out to infinity and the strange cosmic bodies gives the feel of timelessness. This piece is truly epic in its own merit.

Regards,

M

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Colourbrand In reply to CassioPixie [2012-04-30 16:45:08 +0000 UTC]

Basically a black hole but its so bright because of the intergalactic energy collecting around it, its like a sun!

Hope that helps amigo

Nice job! I really like the ring of dust you see around the black hole!

But the hole itself looks like it is in front of the light and not in the middle (in my humble opinion). I've no idea how to change something like that but I figured I'd give you a heads-up.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Colourbrand In reply to wisekill1 [2012-04-27 16:45:56 +0000 UTC]

Actually I left it like that - be honest, if I read the idea behind a black hole, its an element that captures all including light, therefore the theory is that its black.

So think a 3D hole - all you see at every angle is a black hole.

But that is my interperatation - the other bits are from actual pics from Hubble.

Thank you very much for popping by and commenting

Ahh, another of my favourites, happy to see it here. I still love the small cool blue lights contrasting with the rest of the image. The scale too, is fabulous, and the sloping angle to the left gives it a feeling of energy and instability, as though things could change at any minute. The astronaut (cosmonaut?) just standing there gives it a strange feeling of peace, or reflection that contrasts beautifully with the inherent danger of a black hole that close. Your simple, uncluttered images always have much to say, to me. Thanks for adding this one to dA so I could remember how much I like it.

Awww now then, I am glad that this oldie evokes such emotion and I am also glad that the elements added here work the way planned. As I always say, less is more.

All the points you have made are perfect here.

Thank you so much my friend HUGS!! Its always an honour when you visit - I mean that

Beautiful work.
Pretty much how I expected to see such.

I can picture myself in that astronaut's shoes right there... that would just be the most moving, emotionally
captivating moment in history... I can feel myself getting all whimsical here.

Congrats, sir! Certainly one of my favourites of yours!

Very atmospheric, great idea for an image. I've never tried to make anything like a black hole or wormhole in 3D or animated form, I might have to give it a go. See, it's inspiring too!
