Wow, wow, wow! I still can't believe that all of this (entire gallery) was done by hand! I only allow myself to fav two things in the beginning or my pages would overflow, but I must say that it was quite a challenge choosing. This one, however, just knocks me over; not only does Julia look great, but that sweater is coma inducing.
Though I didn't fav it, I'd have to say that the one of Nichole looking over her sholder is my third... that hair is awsome. I have no idea where you stock-pile all of your patience, mine would have flown out the window and left me for dead.
Anyway, what I'm saying is, you've got talent to spare and enough modesty to kill a cow, so I'm going to go before I embarrass myself any further.

This is beautiful. I had to full view before I could tell it wasn't a photo. Amazing. Especially with her eyes, they look so real. And the texture on the sweater. You are an amazing artist, amazing.

Very nice work on the sweater, it looks real. Great job on the smile too, you really got it, and that's what makes Julia Roberts Julia Roberts.

sure I'll share what I can remember. Mostly I've tried to repress the memories
Well, when I start I always try to follow the reference, which is impossible (unless you're nimra)
but the point is that I try. After about 10-20 minutes of trying, my hands ache and my eyes
get red, (actually I just get really really lazy). Anyways, the point is, by this time I have figured
out the pattern of the texture of the sweater, I don't really need to look at the reference. Other than the most obvious folds and creases in the sweater, I just kinda fill in the pattern. The soft indents, valleys or mountains, in the clothing can be added later in a layer of shading, which works surprisingly well, some people shade it before the texture which is fine I guess, but I tend to
smudge them way too much so I do it after. Anyways, thats what I remember. I hope it helps.
Thanks for the comments and the favs.

not a huge fan of julia's,...(as if she cares, right? heh.)
but this is an awesome render of her. that textured detailing in the sweater
is suhweet.
and something else i'm 'seeing' about your work is that your drawings seem
exude a certain quality about them,...an intangible it's hard to put my finger on,...
it's a 'feeling',...as in this one, you can really 'feel' her smile,...not just 'see' a
coolaZZ sketch of it.
nice work.
