I was usually nervous everytime I went on a show of competition with my dogs. But not today. We had cows and horses on our farm and Lena herded them masterfully. Today was no difference. Except for her breed and color fitting frightingly well into todays setting and theme. "Capall" meant horse and the breed was named so for their color likeness of horses. Lena had an appaloosa blanket. Appaloosas were bred by the nez perce indians so I had decorated Lena as an indian war painted horse. She was not at all bothered by this. She focused totally on her work. Separating specific longhorns from the group, herding them to different points and patterns and reuniting them on my command. She loved doing this and could have kept at it all day if she was allowed to. But today she was here just to show the judges what she could do, not to actually work. Had she known she would probably have been disappointed.
