Description
    Light coloured fur blew with the wind. There was an assortment of colours here on the ice. Two teams were divided up, each with their own respectively coloured saddle blanket. Kazuki had never felt a muzzle against his snout before. He was never used to having restricting his face, as did his other “pack mates” that lived with him at the Horizon Campsite. Looking around he noticed other tokotas all wearing muzzles without a dispute, mostly. The game was fairly simple: stay on your feet, score the hockey puck into the other team’s “goal” which was mostly just some fancy pylons on the ice to signify ‘The Goal is Here!’
    Kazuki had heard from Kila’s experience with ice, he didn’t enjoy it. Ice didn’t faze Kazu as much as it did for Kila. Sure its slippery and sometimes you can see down into the deep blue abyss beneath the ice, but that rarely happens. The game was set up with two teams of four. Only one on his team did Kazu actually recognize as someone familiar. As all 8 tokotas and riders lined up, albeit some mishaps here and there with a missing muzzle or a loose stirrup everything made it in one piece. Let the Games Begin!

                A clash of growls, barks and yips broke out amongst the 8 players. The lake was quite large now that you analyze the situation. Paws scrambled over ice, claws had no effect on the slippery smooth surface. Kazu moved tentatively and carefully, stay on your feet, he reminded himself. His rider had the puck, they were basically playing a variation of polo, on ice, and tokotas. Funny part was the use of polo sticks, the game was basically like mounted ice hockey. Large bear dogs swerved and slid across the playing ground. The puck was passed around, aimed and precise. The other team consisted of four larger, faster (albeit clumsier) tokotas, whereas his included him, a Tokota named Masquerade, he had met before. And two others that he didn’t recognize, a tawny and a graying brown. The largest tokota from the other team (Probably a dire of some sort) scored the first point. The members of Kazu’s team were nervous of the large male, as if he would be able to eat them in one bite. The graying brown barked at the others, obviously taking this as a chance to say I’m the leader of this team now, and I say we get a move on playing the game! Kazu obliged, he too wanted to win, Erwin was always discouraging him for being the smallest in the camp, this was his chance to prove him wrong. Together they moved forward, he looked anxiously towards his left. Masquerade was traveling too fast, they would slip and fall if they dared to go faster than a trot. Sure enough all careful movement was once against lost as the left flank—as Kaede put it, fell apart. She once again had the puck, but it slid out of her reach this time as she attempted a pass. It was now a scramble to get the puck back in possession. Both Kazu and Masquerade made a dash for the shiny black object. YOU’RE BOTH ON THE SAME TEAM FOOLS! Barked the graying brown male again. Kazu slowed down, stay on your feet, stay on your feet, he kept repeating to himself. The puck was right in front of him now, Masquerade did slow down now, after skidding around and nearly losing her footing. The other team seemed to catch on with what they were doing, and made an attempt to steal the puck. Kazu moved to the side and tried to shield the puck, Kaede passed the black cylinder to the rider of the tawny tokota while he took a step. What an awkward arrangement of legs and tails and polo sticks. The puck made its way across the ice again, the graying black tokota’s rider swung their polo stick and sent the puck barreling through the pylons of the other team’s goal. They caught up and made a comeback.

                The game carried on for a while after the second goal. The other team starting to fall behind on scoring, but then again, so did Kazu’s team. The ice was still slippery as the day went on. The sun slipped down in the sky at around 3 PM. That was probably the craziest stunt Kazu had ever done. Normally he wouldn’t participate in activities like this and he wouldn’t like to attempt things that require his initiative to complete. Strangely this activity was quite fun, he liked working in a team. Teamwork helped Kazu keep going. He needed to know that there were those depending on him, they depended on his own personal success to be successful as a whole, together. That made him feel a bit better. Back in Horizon it would normally be the team of Kila, Erwin, Alu and sometimes Elysia that were the team players, they did everything and they only relied on each other. With the game ending, his team had won by the way. Kaede made sure that Kazu’s muzzle was removed promptly as soon as they left the lake. He flexed his jaw, allowing his tongue loll about in exasperation. Kaede smoothed out his ivory and rust coloured fur and gave him a kiss on the nose. Kazu closed his eyes to relax, this day went fairly well and he couldn’t wait to describe this adventure to his pack mates back at Horizon…

“You what?” Kila exclaimed “How does someone like you win a game of ice polo thing against a freaking dire??” The bloodmarked male stared incredulously.

“Oh calm down brother, Kazuki made a good effort, and his effort paid off,” Alu said calmly, she was much more mature in situations like these, but always seemed to turn into a pup when it was her turn to compete. Kazuki just couldn’t help but smile. He had only gotten back from the match just a few hours ago, and already the sun had sunk down in the sky and the atmosphere burned a bright red-orange hue before turning into a deep rich purple-blue. The three tokos lay on the cushioned snow while the younger tokos in the camp decided to run around and play through the night. Erwin sat in the treeline, watching the entire camp while the humans slept. Tomorrow would be a big day, the thought.

Wooooooo, stress relieving art because Copp has exams this week and needs to study a lot so she doesn't fail school! I might be away for most of the time up til Friday this week just so I get all of my exams behind me. Until then you might catch me online spontaneously but no promises I'll be able to talk :U everything is so busy here lately but drawing Kazu and drinking tea seems to be help XP I will be back in time!
