Description
This is an old project. Apologies for the awful pictures! (I'm going to be making a light box soon.)A hat based off of my favourite type of fish. (Plecostomus)
My favourite part is the eyes. They almost look like goggles when wearing the hat. 
After completing this, I remembered why I don't knit very often. It makes my fingers bleed. D':

this hat is awesome. i just taught myself how to knit a few days ago so that i could make one
i have a couple of aquariums, and plecos are some of my favorite fish too. i have a whiptail catfish right now, which basically looks like a skinny pleco.
what type of stitching is it? & did you make the fins/eyes separately & then attach them?

Thank you. It took a while to make, but don't give up!
I used stockinette stitch on circular needles (I don't know if that's what they're called) and then switched to double-pointed needles when it got too small to knit on the circluars. I made the eyes (they're crocheted) and fins (they're ribbed, if I recall correctly) separately and then sewed them on after. I hope it helps. I'm not very good with knitting and the terminology for it.

Thank you! :3 I made it without a pattern, but I'm sure it'd be easy enough to replicate. It's just a long, pointed hat with eyes and fins.
