Kind of thought of Matt as a straight faced, dapper, superbly professional and constantly observant lawyer but one who of course still seems dependent on the walking stick for secret disguise reasons..hehe. To me this DD guy is kind like a mix between Batman and the Punisher. He seems to not only want vengeance but Punishment when it comes the criminals he goes after and will go through any means get both. This of course spawned from the tragic death of his father when he was a kid. I don't really see to much of a mask man here I just see a guy who is now doing what he always wanted to accomplish. Putting bad people away by day and doing the same at night. With his suit I always thought that eventually someone was going to use that ningitsu background of his and place some of that in his Daredevil attire but it never really happened. So I took the liberty of alternating it just a touch. But what's your thought's on this dude?Tools> Photoshop, Optical mouse

You pretty much nailed it, which is why he's one of my favorite superheroes. Matt will do whatever it takes to make things right and that usually means going outside of the law as Daredevil.
I always thought the fact that he's blind was a smart idea for a character. Even though he has his radar sense and his supersenses which mean that he can "see" better than anyone, he still can't SEE. It's as simple as him being able to beat up a bad guy (even someone like Stilt-Man) then afterwards have to ask someone what the time is subtly because he can't read a clock.
It makes for an interesting dynamic how he is functionally blind, but he has to fake full blindness because, as the early origin stories say, he can cross the street better than anyone.

Your the kind of person I wish drew actual superhero comics. Your style is so iconic, and daredevil's costume is the best version I've seen in some time.

Hmmm. I see Daredevil a bit differently. I wouldn't say that DD is after vengeance or punishment; whereas Batman polices the streets and Punisher is like some sort of military counter-operation, Daredevil is a force who fights for Justice, a one-man judge, jury and executioner; he couldn't practice law in his civilian identity if he didn't genuinely believe in it. He probably has more in common with Batman, though they are also different; whereas Bruce is all strategy and forward planning, constantly looking at the bigger picture, Matt is a leads-with-his-face, improvisational kind of fighter. While Bruce skulks around the cave, waging a war in predetermined stages, Matt is on the street, taking each battle as it comes. It kind of makes sense, since as a lawyer, he never knows where his next case is coming from. His approach is simpler, yet he is able to relate better, having come from a rough neighbourhood himself; he knows how unfair the streets are, so he evens the score for the downtrodden. Of course, he can dispense a proper beat-down like the best of them, and scares the bejeebus out of crims; must be something about cowls with ears
I like the contrast between the two sides of Matt - the blue and the red! The armour makes total sense, since his billy club is more of a long-range weapon; despite his martial arts prowess, he would be more vulnerable in close-quarter combat. I like the 'DD' in the double belt buckle, and the cloven shoes are awesome - a bit like ninja tabi!

Damn you should write comics. You have this incredible understanding of this character that would be awesome to explore in a story arch.

I like to write comics - I make a living illustrating them, and I've started scripting some of my own - but I don't think I could write a superhero comic. At least, not a Daredevil one - I know next to nothing about law 
I love what Mark Waid has done with the series, he's definitely one of the best comic writers I know of.

I like the body armor look. I'm a big DD fan and I've always wished Marvel would play with his costume more. I'm a fan of the classic design and I understand that an acrobat like Murdock would want freedom of movement, but I think that raw design lends itself to interesting diversity. Quesada played with it some in DD:Father (I think that was the book) and the idea of Murdock adapting the suit for different missions. A hero with a handicap armed only with billy clubs and mad ninjitsu would probably consider body armor and the like as needed. There's still the core design underneath, but with necessary gear added on to it. I like that your body armor is very modern then tweaked with some ninja-esque touches in the shoulder pads and gauntlets to keep it from being generic. I wanna know who DD's going after when he puts this version on, because they must be one hell of an opponent!

I love the slight armor elements; it harkens to his background, breaks up his silhouette, but keeps his distinctive all-red palette. Also, the little rooftop hint at the bottom there is genius!

That's really a very cool way of looking at the character.
I always thought Dick Grayson should have used the name "Daredevil" instead of "Nightwing", but of course by the time he stopped being the Boy Wonder the name was taken.
But I definitely can't deny Matt Murdock's appeal as a character, I've read quite a bit of him and think he's really pretty damn cool. Plus I totally dig your "Ninja" take on the Daredevil suit.
