Description
Jen's mentor and friend in the Avean music business, Osiri Ara discovered the young Jen singing in front of an enthralled crowd at a local Chamaican night club. When Osiri approached the talented young singer after the performance, Jen admitted she had been ditching her classes at the Chamaica University for the Performing Arts to sing in night clubs. Jen had little interest in any more formal training.Osiri needed no persuading after hearing her talent - she took Jen under her wings and with Osiri's training and support, Jen's career took flight and the two never looked back.
Osiri and Jen enjoy touring together and singing for their many fans through out the world. Although neither girl will never say so, many a heated fan arguement has broken out as to which of the two is the better singer.

If Jen and Osiri where normal sized would Jen be taller then Osiri by a few inches or would Osiri be taller then Jen?
In that I kind of think that Jen would be tall and skinny while Osiri would be a little shorter then her.
I'm working on a artwork showing them singing together on the roof of a narrow boat while the narrow boat is around 20 to 50 other narrow boats in a marinia and I'm trying to figure out a size reference between the two of them.

I always pictured Jen being the tallest of your female Southwinds characters along with Kalen.
The Crow from the Grill would be big but he would also be the fattest and heaviest of the Southwinds characters.

There's something about him that makes him funny such as the way he talks and how he has reactions to things. Such as in the Southwinds I notice a lot of your characters are fairly complex or from special rich back rounds. But the Crow I could picture being a simpleton. It's his reaction or motivations to things that make him a fun character. Such as he could come off as a simpleton but he could fairly intelligent but his motivations are simple in that we don't know. It's also funny the way he looks.
Another character I like from the Southwinds is the Kyra gate Priestess.
Such as I do have a fan fiction based of the original Southwinds where this character who is a green bird is to get out of the Havan Capital to get back home runs into the Crow. How he has to get back home is he has to fix a teleport machine by going though the city to find the missing parts to it after the machine blew apart. He runs into the Crow along with Kalen. After seeing the way the Crow talks and acts he ends up thinking that is what all the birds in the city behave like. In that Kalen even though she's well dressed and he can tell is from the upper parts of the city's society really doesn't say anything to him but the Crow is very talkative. That scene makes fun of the book green eggs and ham with the crow trying to offer him a Kabob even though he doesn't want to try one.
I refer to the Crow as Al the Crow.
In the giant Jen idea of Mati growing 500 feet tall the Crow has all the funny bad things happen to him. The Crow and this female sparrow who works for him get a get rich quick scheme of going into the vast underground catacombs with the 600 foot tall Kuru skeleton to go dig for buried treasure. Which instead they both find nothing expect the female sparrow has some of the black ooze in the Kuru skeleton fall on her. And towards the end Eyrin eats his restaurant out of house and home when she's 200 feet tall. As part of the Crow's dumbness he's the only character that thinks Mati and Priestess growing past ten feet tall with a out of control burning hunger is a good thing at first.

I wanted to comment more in depth to this, because I feel there's a lack of real appreciation for this exceptionally beautiful bird ^v^
I kind of like the small tweaks you did to the green jay's original scheme of colours, it really adds to a more maleable anthro form, because it would have seen a little too much vibrant for her chest. I also liked the choice you did for her eyes, they differ from the green jay's yellow ones, and it adds originality to Osiri, I've seen for example the variety of true blues you kept for the different blue jays you did, so it is interesting to think about how many fenotype differences could appear on this green jay variant in the aves world.
What I liked as well was the form of her head, it really adds point when you really decide to stay true to the species' head form, cause it does represent an importan challenge to divorce in these cases from the head appearence of the blue jay that sometimes hit some of the other works, but well, since they are aliens these rules are bent, but artistically speaking it has more value when you make the effort to think and choose which elements from the species you want in the anthro form in these birds and which you don't.
As for the aves script it really gives together with the background the sense of a poster, kind of the ones we could see in the cities of the aves world it reminds some fruit drinks and a summer feeling, which contrasts marvelously with Osiri's color, it also remainds me of the fact that the green jay is originary from a tropical jungles here in south america, more in Peru, Bolivia and Colombia as well as Ecuador. It is interesting in the poster sense, I hope one day you could work that potential in a greater piece now that you have made a lot of changes from "A night in Kalahassi" it would validate your effort.
Osiri's pose seems to give her a personality of a very succesful bird and clever as well since she was the one who had the musical capacity to understand Jen's potential and then take her under her wings, it really makes me want that piece with the two of them singing in front of a crowd, it would be an epic win.
Interesting that I had a lot to say here, it is indeed a good piece bro, I feel kinda bad for not giving Osiri the well deserved look, well it adds for another birdy beauty ^v^

Well, listening through my collection of random music...I seem to feel her as being low and somewhat dark voice - Sade perhaps would be an example of Osiri's voice in my head
