Actually I am very proud of the title . ಠ_ಠ;;; Yes, I did go there.Whelp, this is my attempt at the contest. I had a hard time deciding what I was going to do, BUT.
I realized that,
1: I like boars and other feral pigs (Blame Mononoke; I do not like domestic pigs though...except to eat)
2: I like rays.
Therefore, I must combine the two into...something awesome? XDDD;
It is a Manta Ray (Manta Birostris) and a Wild Boar (Sus Scrofa) mix, with extra color thrown in because I like color.
I am really proud of myself with this design, as random as it may be XDD;; (Also because I thought of setting one set of tusks forward) It's really fun to draw!
Drawn in my moleskine, then color and extra effects (like the coffee ring) added with Photoshop/SAI. I was trying to go for a 'lost journal page' type of look, from some other time. I did write the text small on purpose.
All it says is the scientific names (and that it would be a cryptid animal), that it's capable of land and water movement, and it veeeery closely resembles a Manta from above, since it's large.

Boars are pretty awesome, not enough people draw them. And this is an awesome combination of animals. I love the colors and forward-facing tusks = super cool.

I looove boars. Their anatomy is a lot different than what I'm used ton though, so it's hard to get myself to try and practice drawing them. XDD;;;

I like how it looks almost entirely like a boar from the side and a ray from the top. You don't notice it's both until seeing it at an angle!

QUITE EPIC. I like the Boar-Ray, yes I do. xD The forward-setting tusks are a great touch, and make it look that much more ray-ish.
