You mean like how "Ibrox Subway" still gets "Copeland Road" (where it actually is) rather than being named for a Wendyball park half a mile away?
There's a similar issue with "Kevin Hall (Subway)" because it's actually at Partick Cross, but that would get confusing because the Subway station formerly known as Merkland Street (where it is) is now also at Partick Station (BR).

That's about it. Plymouth used to have stations at North Road, Millbay (serving the Ocean Mails ships), Mutley and Friary (LSWR). Millbay and Mutley were closed around the time of World War Two, and Friary soldiered on until 1958, after which all Southern trains came into North Road which became just Plymouth (except for all us old fogies).

I recognise North Road, Millbay and Friary (partly from the Atlantic liners, and through sleepers from Scotland used to terminate at Friary, which was odd when the day trains terminated at North Road).

There was also Millbay Docks from where City of Truro set off on her (disputed) record run of May 9,1904.

Wasn't the problem there the lack of a dyno car in the rake?

That's it I think. The whole record was stated on the basis of Charles Rous-Marten's stopwatch timings using (I think) the quarter mileposts. The locomotive wasn't even stated as City of Truro at the time, the GWR came out with that later.
The Cities, like the Saints, were very tall in the driving wheel (6' 8Β½") so I think it would be perfectly possible for one to top the magic 'ton' but it's a pity that the opportunity to confirm it absolutely wasn't taken. In 1967, a rebuilt Merchant Navy managed over 105mph on 6' 2" drivers.

A good capture, Sir, and the smoke adds a lot to the composition.
