OK, neglected is probably a bit unfair. Not cleaned, to be sure, but probably steamtight. I saw no German engines in the sort of woeful mechanical condition evident in the UK at the end of steam. 2-10-0 No. 051 857-1 with tender guard's cabin rests at Duisberg Wedau shed in the Ruhr on October 18, 1974. Unfortunately, my slide scanner has chopped off part of a buffer - it seems to take off quite a bit around the edge of the frame, something I never envisaged when taking the picture. Anyway, I hope there is enough left to e of interest! I have a more complete monochrome version that I will upload sometime.
