Another of Laira's class 46s, 46004, awaits the 'off' at Penzance in the far west on MayΒ 22, 1976, probably with a Birmingham train. Unusually, the weather is dull, whereas the Penzance microclimate is often bright and sunny when the rest of the peninsula has poor weather.Related content

I went to Penzance in May. Boring, there was only a class 150 DMU not even an HST.Β
