yep, but you cant beat the finale when the two Bald Eagles fly in from afar to the music, I go there quite often, and it gives me goose bumps every time!

ha ha! anytime! I would love to move the USA.....the UK is dreadful at the moment!
Do you not have places that keep and fly birds of prey near you?

Dogote In reply to CoupeKid [2008-12-05 18:44:29 +0000 UTC]

hey sorry had to butt in but yes there are several places, Georgia has a Falconry club, plus you'll find yourself buried UNDER the prison if you so much as touch a feather on a native bird of prey in a harmful manner lol i did some volunteer work at a wildlife hospital a few years ago and they had soooo many hawks, owls, etc.. usually brought in because they had been hit by cars.

And where i live right now i have a pair of wild bald eagles that fly over my house on occasion. first time i saw them they blotted out the sun, scared my ducks, and had me wondering if i should take my two small children inside lol ((our instincts will always remain intact i suppose))

No, the US is horrible when it comes to keeping nature safe. There's not a human in office that doesn't want to kill of half of wildlife. x.x It makes me so mad! You know that they're digging up half of alaska for oil?

You take such great pics of these animals flying.
(I LOVE bald eagles <3<3<3<3, but they're not so great as the caracara! xD)
Anyway, how did you take those?
I tried it before, well, I managed, but not so big O_O
Was it at some show or so that you took these?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CoupeKid In reply to MiekeV [2006-07-18 20:32:34 +0000 UTC]

Its at a place called the Hawk Conservancy. An absolutely awesome place! They do a lot towards conservation, and have a release program, so they are cool!
This was taken with the 350D Canon, and a 300mil tele. (A little bit of bravery to be stood in from of the beast as well! lol))
