Description Some of you may know that my graphics tablet passed away earlier this month So, I decided to give my markers some long overdue attention!
This piece has taken a while to finish but has actually been a real joy to work on! I loved putting all the little details in and challenging myself with a detailed background! :3 Trying to get the right fur texture on her deer half was a bit of a time consuming challenge - but I was really pleased with the result!
I am currently toying with giving her the name Griselda (although Ben says "what kind of name is that?") Β 
I like the idea that she's one of several guardians of the forest (the large butterfly is also one) and she's just taking a stroll! :3

Thank you very much! I really enjoyed the concept of part deer... although technically she shouldn't have antlers as she's a female... but I wanted to draw antlers! XD;

This is just stunning. The different textures and types of leaf for starters is just gorgeous, those cabbagey ones at her shoulders, the dark privit-like ones in her hair. LOVELY variation and I adore all the greens.

I adore the lilac of the skies. And the little touches like the mushrooms near the tree roots, the little grassy tuffs near the water, the little orange berries in her hair and feathers.

AGH. This is SO lovely.

I really like the detail in this piece. Β It's absolutely amazing! Β I also like how you've kept her torso in proportion to her lower body, I don't really like the idea of centaur-type creatures having really small torsos and a huge lower body, it always looks odd. Β Keep up the fantastic work!

Also my advice, if you can afford one, get a Wacom Cintiq. Β I invested in the 13HD version and it was worth it!

Thanks so much! I actually found it really hard to draw the propotions as I couldn't figure out what it should look like so I'm glad you think they're ok! :3
I'm considering switching to s cintiq but concerned that I'd find that my hand might get in the way of my digital details!

Honestly, this is just beautiful. The colouring is so amazing, and perfect. I am always in awe of your marker skills, they're been incredible since the beginning.
I adore how the colours work so well together, and your shading is lovely as always.
I do love the idea behind the dryad and the butterfly. Maybe you could make up moe guardians??

Haha! Fair enough! I was considering driving back and forth each day but it's an hour and a half drive (in good traffic!) And my wrist is playing up again! So may be looking at a hotel!
