Wow I really have little to say here, other than its time to move on to the next piece!
Art drawn by me using PaintTool SAI, printed onto cardstock and colored with copic markers.

Thanks. She's actually new and as of yet unnamed. One of my few random goers rather than fleshed out characters. But anyhow she's a forest critter, one of the fey, and has a few other deer centaur buddies she likes to hang out with. She also likes to play pranks on the satyrs, and is curious (but shy) about humans.

It came out brighter than I'd expected, did the scanner do that?
Either way, it turned out quite beautiful. I love the moss on the rock up front, the birch trees, the moss on the boulder in the back and the flowers - didn't know roses could look like that >_>
The deertaur (what're they called again? D: pretty sure they had an actual name) is very pretty and her happiness seems almost contagious

Some of it was color choices... that the scanner abruptly grabbed and turned up into neon. I'm going to be rescanning this tomorrow. X_X
But thank you! What you're looking at is the morphology of a more wild rose style; the multi-layered petal look of many domestic roses is IIRC a treat created through artificial selection (i.e. humans crossing different roses to get pretty flowers.)
Oh gosh I don't know! Its kind of driving me nuts. But anyhow thank you! The goal was an exuberantly happy picture so I'm glad it worked.

Hopefully your next scan works better and if it doesn't, a friend or somebody with a good scanner will allow you to use theirs

Well, I googled them up and found out a name for them... feels a bit lack luster though. They're known as Cervitaurs. Let that sink in....

Actually my scanner just died; the Mustek heard me talking bad about it and it seems like its motor has given up. RIP Mustek I suppose.
XD Its from all the botany classes... and honestly compared to the botanists proper I'd be such a flunkie. I'm hoping to do some self study after the con to brush up.

Another masterpiece once more~! I can see so much detail, and all the the colors are fresh and very springtime.
I love the centaurian girl, she's very graceful and I need to figure out how you draw such flowy hair!

I adore your coloring skills very much,I love how smooth the coloration is in here.
And of course your lineart,you put a lot of effort in it,seeing,how many details are in there.
That's a common problem:the scanner,you could try to 'play' a little with the lightoption in photoshop.(Deverse people told me to do so too,and it really is a big help,when traditional drawings look 'faded'.)
Looking at your artwork,the scanner vanished a little bit of the blue coloring in the background.:\ May I ask which scanner are you using ?

*sighs* Its a Mustek... which has proven to be a bad choice. The problem is it likes to push yellow and orange/red colors to a very high saturation and has trouble picking up on other tones. (Hence the washout in the lighter areas) By the time I've got color in those regions the rest of the image looks very grey in lighter areas and bright neon or too dark in others. I did post process in Irfanview and PaintTool SAI, so I was able to restore some of the original color, just not well. If I have time I'm going to start the process over again tomorrow to try to get a better base scan.
