Description
An aborted self portrait since I draw too small for what I wanted it to be. Meant for the main head/body to be larger and then I was going to surround it with my usual style. Suns, skulls, faces, ufos, aliens and a few prop planes abound swirling around me. Check my scraps if you want to see its progression to a completed page.So far my only completed work for 07

Yeah, I'm supposed to be the larger head in the image. I meant to do it a lot larger and with more resemblance but need to practice drawing my face more.
I wanted to make the main portrait semi realistic and then have the eyes/glasses and background use my regular surreal doodle style. I'll try again some day after practicing drawing large heads. Usually I don't practice and just start drawing away but I need to change this if I want to get on paper the image in my head.
It is tedious to spend all the time filling up the page but I like it for some strange reason. I hate leaving parts of the page empty. I always feel I could add more to it. At least when I fill the page I know I can't add anymore. It gives me a distinct style too.
