Nice shot! I just got a bird feeder for my backyard and those chickadees having been coming back and forth to it.

I am delighted to add your photo of a chickadee to my favorites, Casey. Β I love these little birds. Β They are so perky. Β

I seriously do not understand how you can get all these wonderful bird pictures .They sit still long enough for me.

Thing is my birds now are getting so used to me I can sit 5 feet away from the tree and they will land right above me or near the bird feeder and they will come eat from it. I have a nice healthy population of chickadees which are training the other birds to be less fearful as well. I have a decent camera with a 42x zoom and a pasm mode so if I can get it sunny out enough to not wash things out but produce a shutter speed of 1/300th a second I can get some really good photos. I've also learned if you talk to them they very quickly get used to you and will come closer. I've found if the birds think you aren't hunting or interested in eating them, they see you as no threat and will come close. When I talk to them they are less jumpy and sometimes they don't show up until I start talking to them. The hard part for me isn't so much taking the photos but talking to them. I may not come off as so on DA but I am a hardcore introvert. I hate talking when I feel I'll be judged. I mean I always hated going to parties because I'd be all alone at a table when everyone else was off mingling. Talking to birds for 30 minutes is very difficult. Just finding things to talk about is difficult.

That's amazing!I never thought that talking to a bird would work, but it's cool that it does! I'm not too surprised your an introverert. I'm an introvert too actually.

A lot of us artists and especially Deviant Artists are Introverts. Most see me being so outgoing, flamboyant, cartoonish on here and I always assumed they thought I'd be the guy to show up at the party and someone would say NOW THE PARTY CAN BEGIN!

To be perfectly honest, I never thought that that you'd say NOW THE PARTY CAN BEGIN! I've only ever met two people like that, and neither of them would have the patience to take pictures the way you do.

Glad you like it buddy. It's not my best composition but has good detail and not horrible composition and I was running low so here it is.
