I have this irrational fear where I believe hands like claws will grab my ankle and pull me down when I'm swimming close to rocks. But not any rock, it has to be a porous one.

This picture reflects illusion and truth together perfectly. Of course the water isn't really blue and if you stare at those eyes for more than a few seconds you are convinced of their supernatural origin. The flesh is unnaturally pale - an accurate reflection of our delicate human condition but that shade of red will snatch your breath away if you get close enough - I don't care who you are. All the elements are represented in perfect balance with each other and the viewer - the very definition of magic. If you can't find the fire in this picture, maybe you need a new monitor.

I love the water, but I HATE when there's anything in the water other than seaweed pretty much. I can't swim by docks, anchors, rocks, etc without freaking out! Things like dams, underwater machinery, and shipwrecks, are my nightmare!

I've always been afraid to swim in water if it's not easy to see through it. I've always felt like a grindylow or other such creepy water creature would pull me under, and if the water's cold, that fear is quadrupled.

You look like Jennifer Connelly, especially in this picture! (I think it's the eyebrows)
Besides that, your eyes are so powerful. If I cover your eyes and look at just your nose and mouth, you look like a fair-skinned seductress who's calm and composed like a beautiful mannequin. Now, if I cover everything but your eyes, I see a deep, murderous intent. The image as a whole is mercilessly beautiful. Maybe you're a mermaid preying on sailors, waiting to lure them into your watery depths; you look so lovely and yet, so deadly.

Crecí en una ciudad costera, y he pasado la mitad de mi vida en la playa, y nadando en el mar. Y no fue hasta la adolescencia que empecé a tener cierto miedo irracional a las profundidades (supongo aue cierto tipo de cine tiene parte de culpa. Conozco más gente con idéntica experiencia)
supongo que madurar o envejecer no es siempre garantía de adquirir sabiduría; a menudo consiste en adquirir nuevos miedos, sin llegar a deshacernos de los antiguos.

I grew up on the coast, literally; my back yard was Galveston Bay, and my grandfather had shrimp-boats. You'd think with all that exposure to the water... well nevertheless I still get creeped out, (sometimes) when I'm in deep water and can't see the bottom, especially if no one else is around. Primordial fears ? I guess the abyss has many faces - at least one for every human on the planet.

I have a phobia of drowning? Seems like the worst way to die 
I have like a total phobia of anything touching my feet anyways. Sock wearer like 90% of the time, so the idea of being in muddy rocky water with barefeet is.... gross

I'm always scared that something will grab my leg and pull me down under the water. And underwater plants always look like they are hiding some creatures so I don't like swimming near to them. Or when they touch me under the water... o.o
