Description

"Memories do not always soften with time; some grow edges like knives."

Name: Tsukimi of the Kurosaki Clan

Age: 25

Village: Gale Springs

Job: Explorer | Amateur Ice sculpturer

Birthday: August 17

Height: 5'4 | 162 cm

Weight: 115lbs | 52kg

Ability:

Inner Focus - Protects the pokemom from flinching.

Attacks:

Feint Attack | Metal Claw

Personality:

It's been a couple of years since Tsukimi had acquired her freedom. Two in fact, and each had been filled with some, challenges. Her pessimistic views had yet to change and she's still in the belief that if the world ended tomorrow, it would be her fault. But now there has been a certain skip in her step that hadn't been their before. Perhaps it was the new role she had to play in the lives of new comrades. Tsukimi now dares to hope for a brightness, not a future or a goal, but a brightness where things will go the way they should, without worry and concern. She's even starting to try an approach with her childhood friend, though ironically she does so while keeping a secret from him. If there's a strain in her smile, she simply brushes it off and blames it on change.

Likes:

Ice (she likes the cold feel and the sharpness it leaves when she cuts it through) | Still a sucker of fairy tales, perhaps even more so | catnip | Keisuke | Recoginition (this has become more common recently) | Snow | Mending clothes (something she learned she could still do with her hands) | Moon gazing

Dislikes:

Cold air (an contradiction, despite her fondness for other cold things) | Horror stories | Her noble status | Having to force herself to ask for help | Her disfigurement | Untidiness | Bright sunlight on snow

History:

Tsukimi was born on the night of the full moon, prompting her lady mother to name her after the moon. The members of the Kurosaki Clan always had the character “Mi” added to their names, honoring their affiliation to water, particularly frozen water, so it went from “Tsuki” to “Tsukimi”. The child was healthy and it seemed a blessing had been bestowed to the heads of the Clan, however there was one malady. The child’s hands were born clawlike and disfigured, with unnatural coloring that could only be compared to their respective pokemon. It was unnerving and led to the baby sneasel to be raised in the main compound strictly, with rare visits to the branch compound where the lower class members kept home. Thus it bred horrible rumors, twisted versions of facts about the child and her unnatural limbs. Though people were kind, these rumors would eventually reach the young mistress’s ears and soon she began to believe herself cursed.

Tsukimi was kept in isolation for her safety, as her noble parents believed she would be teased mercilessly by the other children. Tsukimi, however, only saw it as confirmation, that her parents were ashamed by her hands, and thus began the pessimistic personality she now has today. However, when she was reaching her tenth birthday, business proceedings between her family and another clan brought the appearance of another child in the main compound – a zorua boy named Keisuke. Having no social interactions before, Tsukimi grew excited over her new playmate and maybe a little over zealous. She would sometimes play too rough, or act irrational, though Keisuke didn’t seem to mind. It was all fun and games until someone got hurt, this case Keisuke. They had been chasing each other around when one swing from Tsukimi’s hand cleaved the boy’s arm off in a clean cut. The act horrified the sneasel and she couldn’t stop screaming. Even though Keisuke tried to reassure that all was well, it was too late. The scars of this trauma sank deep and the two were separated for Tsukimi’s sake.

It would be several years before the walls of the compound would suffocate her. Tsukimi decided she wanted to see the world and told her parents of her plans. They agreed to let her go, but at a cost. A familiar boy would had to accompany her while she took her fill of the country. Tsukimi begrudgingly agree, but she made a promise to herself, one that she would keep even if it was one that hurt her the most.

Do not hurt Keisuke again.

For now, Tsukimi makes her residence in the village of Gale Spring, where, along with Keisuke, she does odd jobs as an explorer to get by. She has found a passion in sculpting ice, but the only one who remotely has anything good to say about them is her zoroark companion, which doesn’t help at all.

Recent Events

Tsukimi had been recently contacted by persons whom have interest in her..connections. Though she has proclaimed to know nothing about her family's allegiances and ties, she is, despite her ignorance, a viable part of this group and their strange intentions. They haven't professed her harm, simply interacting, and so the sneasel is willing to play along. However, she has been told to keep their meetings to secrecy, and with a heavy heart, she does so. She does not think she is doing anything wrong, but she does feel lonely for not being able to confide in these meetings with Keisuke. As long as she doesn't get him hurt, she figures it's ok.

Additional information:

- Was often called Pessikitty in her old home.

- Her hands are that coloring. She wears no gloves and she has to go through a special routine in order to clean and dress herself everyday.

- She does ice sculptures on the side from her job of exploring. Initially they were done as a hobby, but now she sells them to her new acquaintances to help Keisuke with the finances.

- She tries to act more like an adult. However, whenever she gets flustered or in a sulking mood, she still hides her face within her hood.

- Enjoys lending out her lap, though only one person has had that luxury.

- Her claws never need to be sharpened. Strangely, they remain that way.
