Callin it on this guy for now. Once I get some more free time I'll go back in and really detail the crap out of him since he still has a ways to go. I'm happy with where he's going for now though. He is a part of the predatory 'Gorgan' alien race, as they are referred to by humans, and if you know your Greek mythology you'll know why.
They are the sentient inhabitants of Jupiter's moon Europa. He's been a total blast to work on.Better resolution on my blog: crystalsully.com/blog/

My goodness that is a spiffy design. I have a weakness for glowy stuff, and I am very intrigued by those teeth, Β just how far can he open that mouth? And those frill on the neck, are they a sort of gills?

Is he supposed to be under-water/under some kind of liquid? I might try playing with some blurring effects to emphasize the depth and the fluid volume between the viewer and different parts of him that are further-away or less in focus. Right now a lot of those edges are merely faded, but still quite sharp - I think losing some of his form in the background would help a lot to that end.
