The one with the lady knight? xD I'll see. That one could drag on. There's another that I thought of that might be shorter. I dunno, I don't have any REALLY short ideas right now. Besides, like a random cafe type thing.
Oooh, maybe one exploring the different lives of a little town? (Totally thinking of our old RP right now. xD)
Like I said, though, I REALLY need to hunker down and write specifics, plan beginning to end.

You can do a neverending one full of comedy. That way, you can always go back to it. O: The town old sounds solid.

Yeah, the town one....basically a collection of short stories. > > It can be hard to pull that off, but I'll just have fun with it. xD
I dunno, we'll talk about it when I'm home. xD <3

Oh, so NOW you're only using a pen. Must say, its pretty darn good considering it must be done in one take. He looks like Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia, but with an eyepatch and guns.

Hey, hey, hey! I've been doing pen doodles since forever!
...It's just most of them aren't developed enough to make it here. xD
Now that you mention it, I see the resemblance. xD I do like Lloyd. Tales of Symphonia is an amazing game! <3

I'm glad you got the reference! It is a good game, I just never got through it and its hard to pick up the story again on disk two...

crystilmitsuru In reply to Matthordika [2009-12-08 03:14:32 +0000 UTC]
Frickin love that game. xD Especially the battle um... format. It's hard to find one more engaging. I have especially fond memories of it because I played with my friends. There's nothing like hearing people yell "Heal me!" and "Get him, get 'im!" while you're playing. xD
The story is hard to pick up, though. xD Lots of stuff you have to remember. I'm amazed at how easily the story progressed, though, considering its complexities. Tales of the Abyss wasn't as successful at that.
Whoops, there goes the game developer in me. xD

I don't even bother unless I have at least one friend. Its truly remarkable (and a GCN exclusive outside Japan). And the story is great with so many twists and turns... I wonder if the sequel is any better...

crystilmitsuru In reply to Matthordika [2009-12-08 04:30:01 +0000 UTC]
I haven't had a chance to play the sequel either... ;___; I wanna know, darn it!
Though, I'm kinda upset that they added the whole tame monsters thing as part of the party or whatever. I dunno. xD I'd have to try it out first before forming a real opinion.

Being a PokΓ©mon fan, I bet its pretty neat (the tame monsters thing). I heard it wasn't as good, but shorter.

crystilmitsuru In reply to Matthordika [2009-12-09 04:31:14 +0000 UTC]
I'm a PokΓ©mon fan, too, but one of the best parts about Tales when fighting with friends was being able to choose which character you wanted to play. I guess you could do the same with the monsters . . . but, well I like humanoids more. xD
Not as good, but shorter...? That's kinda a let down. xD

Matthordika In reply to crystilmitsuru [2009-12-09 19:15:18 +0000 UTC]
Ah, the game is not as good without friends (like New Super Mario Bos. Wii). My friends always knew who they wanted, until that character left the party! Everyone avoids Genis, though.
It is kind of a let down, until you realise that you can beat the game.

crystilmitsuru In reply to Matthordika [2009-12-10 16:14:10 +0000 UTC]
Haha, I played with my sister, my best friend and his sisters. I was Colette most of the time (sometimes Zelos/Kratos), my sister Presea, my friend Lloyd, his middle sister Raine, and his youngest sister Genis. xD We took turns playing, obviously. xD I dunno I like magicks. But I like melee stuff too. xD
Hm? Well, I guess if you're short on time, it's nice.

Matthordika In reply to crystilmitsuru [2009-12-10 19:22:43 +0000 UTC]
I, personally, am always Lloyd. Always. I'm always dying first in boss fights because I'm always up there. I rarely put Colette in my party, though. She was never as good as the others and therefore never in. Poor girl didn't have to do the dirty work...

crystilmitsuru In reply to Matthordika [2009-12-13 00:45:29 +0000 UTC]
xD It's not THAT hard. The difficulty curve is actually balanced really well, so if you fight whoever are in the way when walking from place to place you could get by.
Where exactly are you stuck? xD
π: 0 β©: 1
Matthordika In reply to crystilmitsuru [2009-12-13 17:07:24 +0000 UTC]
Can't remember. I'm only 30-40 hours in. Its not the difficulty though, its the sheer length of time it requires. Something many games today sorely miss.

crystilmitsuru In reply to Matthordika [2009-12-13 19:42:34 +0000 UTC]
lol Yeah, it is quite an investment on the gamer's part in order to finish. To be honest, if I had bought that game today, I don't think I could finish it, either. xDD 80+ hours? xD And that's only for the story.

Now, if only Twilight Princess was that long, as promised. If it took them another year to add in more, I would've greatly waited.
(Guess what game I was just playing)

It is a great game, just not-Zelda standards. Normally I'd be okay with that, except this was supposed to be the game that was better then Ocarina of Time.
Darn, how'd you know?
π: 0 β©: 1
Matthordika In reply to crystilmitsuru [2009-12-14 20:43:06 +0000 UTC]
Upon playing it again, I'm starting to apperciate it more and more. Maybe it is Zelda standard, but everybody was expecting better then Ocarina of Time, so... It's almost as good. But Wind Waker, Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time are better. Maybe A link to the Past when I beat it.

But how? I wrote a 2-part journal basically praising the game (I called it a review).

crystilmitsuru In reply to Matthordika [2009-12-15 20:26:23 +0000 UTC]
Well, it was cool to manipulate time on a smaller scale, but it didn't feel as good playing it. It must have been the whole time pressure thing; just not very relaxing and more stressful (though I realize that making the time frame of the game last any more than three days would be a giant hassle, and the moon thing provides a solid reason as to why the game is only three days long). One of the things I love about Zelda games, as well is the aspect of exploration, and I just felt that as a whole the game felt smaller. Less free, more constricted, all that. The time played a big part in putting the game in a box for me, too. It's a good game; I just personally wouldn't play it again.

Matthordika In reply to crystilmitsuru [2009-12-15 22:18:10 +0000 UTC]
Really? I spend a lot of time doing nothing but running around. It's easy with the Kafei & Anju sidequest. Termina was smaller than Hyrule, but its incredible story, smart puzzles, great level design make up for it. The three days let the world come alive unlike any game before it: NCPs were always busy following a set schedule and... Sure, its all in my journal!
π: 0 β©: 1
crystilmitsuru In reply to Matthordika [2009-12-16 01:11:38 +0000 UTC]
Ah, I did enjoy that the NPCs were always busy, and all had different things to do. Not a single character was a throwaway in town, I don't think. That was cool. I dunno, it's been a very long time since I played.
π: 0 β©: 1
Matthordika In reply to crystilmitsuru [2009-12-16 19:28:00 +0000 UTC]
You should go back and play through it again. It's a great game. The NPC's weren't just NPC's, they were people living in a world in termoil. Everyone had purpose, even if the models were copied from Ocarina of Time.

I'm talking about the GameCube disk with OoT, Majora's Mask, and LoZ I & II all on it?
π: 0 β©: 1
Matthordika In reply to crystilmitsuru [2009-12-19 19:39:14 +0000 UTC]
It's called "Collector's Edition." I would've ignored the mistake if it was anything else. But you combined that with "Ocarina of Time Master Quest" (also for the gamecube). That would've been strange, considering that it doesn't have Majora's Mask.
