Description
The sexual relationship between Fluttershy and Discord in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has sparked outrage from some fans, who have described it as 'creepy', 'gross' and 'slovenly'.
Fluttershy is a young pony – theorised to be around the age of 20 - who inhabits the village of Ponyville.
Discord, meanwhile, is a 3,000 year-old chaotic demigod with a penchant for evildoing.
Do you find the age difference between Fluttershy and Discord creepy, or are you just happy Fluttershy found love with a monster?

OK, for one thing, Discord has not moved in with Fluttershy, he lives in a house in Chaosville, see Make New Friends But Keep Discord and Discordant Harmony. Second, Fluttershy and Discord are NOT in a relationship, as there has been firm evidence throughout the series that they are friends, and their friendship is not the kind of friendship that develops into crushes. Fluttercord is purely a thing made up by fans, it does not exist in the show.

Not really, because a person above 18 years old is considered an adult. So Discord is not a pedophile even if he is 2000+. It is kinda discusting though since it is a pretty BIG difference....

Your right. I don't want to say that he is, but sometimes I think that he's old. I know he is, but like acting/doing activates like a old pony. I don't like FlutterCord, but if you like the ship, that's great.
Also, I realized that in Equestria Girls, Fluttershy is somewhere in her teen age, but in the Pony world, Fluttershy isn't really in her teen age and doesn't go to school. She has a job (I think) but the show has stated that the Mane 6 are "full grown ponies".

In this situation it really doesn't matter and I for one support Fluttercord. Why? because 1) It' a cartoon show, and anything could happen in a show about talking ponies 2) I mean these guys are completly different species so maybe 3000 in Draconequus years is like 30 but still keep an open mind.

Apparently, people who feel like grasping for straws to hate the ship, or people who don't think she's 20-years old. Apparently, in the minds of these people, an age gap equals pedophilia, even if they're both adults... which I believe is an argument that they made up specifically for this ship, because I've never seen this argued for any other ship before, and I don't see these people going after actual pedophilic ships. I mean, what the fuck?
Arguing with them is an exercise in futility, I know this first-hand. (I will say that I've done this with an unspecified user in these comments).

I'll agree with you on that. I extremely doubt the creators of the show would make Shota references in a show intended for, well apparently because of the fan base, everybody. People should know that she's not 20, because her Equestria girl counterpart is in high school! Why do people pull theories out of no where when facts are right in front of them? Also, I love how Bronies will say how disgusting and pedophilic these relationships are, and people will still keep up the damn stereotype that bronies are attracted to horses and are pedophiles (Seriously though, those stereotypes need to die).

Yeah, those stereotypes really do need to die. And while there are people who don't take Equestria Girls into account on the basis that they don't consider it canon because they don't like it (along with others bringing up the fact that the Equestria Girls counterparts are in high school, while their Equestrian counterparts have jobs, don't go to school, and are self-sufficient, which does make a good case for them being adults), there is always one thing that one can do if they feel that Fluttershy or any other Main Six member isn't an adult and wants to ship said character with Discord or anyone else: Age-up the character a few years.
Frankly, I don't get how one could consider something pedophilia when I've never seen anyone ship Fluttershy with Discord on the basis of "A child kissing Discord would be hot", because they always believe that both parties are adults. Always.

I'm just going to copy-and-paste this from somebody else's rant:
"Discord being romantically involved with Granny Smith would be as much of an age difference. I have never heard fans of Star Trek accusing Picard/Q or Janeway/Q of being pedophile relationships. Q is literally billions of years old, so any relationship with a human would involve a ludicrous age difference, but no one cares because in the early 1990's John de Lancie and Patrick Stewart didn't look all that different in age.
This attitude doesn't come from a healthy perception of who Fluttershy is, either. They're infantilizing her. I have heard it seriously argued that the Mane 6 -- several of whom are successful businessponies, one of whom is obviously the equivalent of a postdoc grad student, and all of whom are the heroes that the entire realm depends on to save them from powerful supernatural threats -- are teenagers, because maybe ponies grow up faster and they act immature. Well... if your society lets you run a successful dressmaking business by yourself or relies on you to plan all the parties in town, you're an adult in the eyes of your society regardless of how old you are in years. If they're in their teens because ponies grow up faster, then they're still adults! Your cat is a full grown adult when she's 2.
And yes, no one has this reaction to Luna/Big Mac or Celestia/pretty much anybody. "Good King Sombra" would have been a lot younger than Celestia when they first met, but somehow that's ok. There are people who ship Celestia and Twilight, which given the mentor/student relationship and Twilight's level of hero worship for Celestia, is much more problematic than Discord/Fluttershy, which is emotionally much more of a relationship of equals than Celestia/Twilight. I don't see asshats harassing them about pedophilia."
In conclusion: The moral of the story? This belief is asinine and I haven't seen a single person who I would consider intelligent that actually believes this, that is to say I've never seen this argued in a rational way, because I've noticed that they're actively trying to hate the ship and cannot be trusted to come up with a non-biased conclusion. Disliking a ship is one thing, but talking out of your ass is another thing entirely.

I also have a point here:
- Actually the fact that Discord is moving with Fluttershy is because Fluttershy taught him some lessons and value of friendship with kindness as you see on Season 3. Also, I don't believe that Fluttershy sees Discord as a sugar daddy, since that is HER to take care of Discord's mess. Besides, Discord also may have some excuses for the kind pony to do what he wants. I think that Fluttershy might be the "Sugar Daddy" (or should I say "Sugar Mommy") but she is more assertive when it's about Discord to make trouble and then she stayed for win!
and also another point is:
-How can Lustre treat Fluttershy better? Or even Twilight? It's impossible. According to the story here named "The Brony Cage", he has no or not even a little respect on Twilight, seeing the princess as a sex toy to show to his followers. Also the picture can prove it so.
Also while I was finding that story on the documentary about Human Twi's First Kiss , I found a comment that makes yourself have a very good point: Lustry is the type-character of the bronies, which shows that most of the bronies are incredibly pissed that their favourite pony (or should I say "their waifu") have a social contact with any male character. In this documentary, is Fluttershy with Discord. But it won't mean that all the bronies and pegasisters will go against Fluttercord, by also tolerate and also, pair them. This is probably an example of the reason why most of the fandoms have the group named shippers.
