I have a feeling a lot of people is going to think that she's out of character, similar to Pinkie Pie last episode; however, she's actually expanding that one side of her were usually see when she's in her profession or given a task: focused assertiveness. Whenever she is tasked to do something, that she makes sure to succeed in, she tends to get very carried away and kinda puts a whole "shield" around her during that moment of focus. That additional focus can sometimes lead to not being aware of who you're ignoring or hurting around you (I've regretting done that a few times). Nevertheless, I loved the different personas she had (Ahem...Goth Fluttershy was my fave).

Hmm...now that I think about it, each of the Mane Six had a rare personality trait that wasn't seen all too much. With seeing Pinkie's intolerance expanded and now Fluttershy's focus-assertiveness, I'm sensing an expansion characters personality theme here.

Regrettably for a character who seemed to be going in the right direction development-wise, the recent take on Flutts is either "the doormat we all know and love" or "complete mindless asshole".  If that was actually part of her character arc that would be one thing (maybe she doesn't know the difference?), but praising Flutts for losing her mind and treating those around her like dirt (even her animals this time??) is something the Manes can't afford to do.  I don't know which episode was the most embarrassing... "AJ Forgets How To Farm and Twilight Needs To Teach Her How" or "Fluttershy Rejects Common Decency and That's a Good Thing".

10/10 pretty bad episode, to be honest. It seems for the last season or so Fluttershy has been written as Bitch-Fluttershy, or as Same-Shit-Different-Day Fluttershy, but to be the extreme end of both in the same episode seems wrong. I agree with the previous commenter who pointed out that Fluttershy not knowing anything about fashion is a pretty massive inconsistency. I guess I really couldn't care less though, she's has always been one of my least favorite Mane 6, and the episode was still entertaining enough. Overall, it's just always good to see more Twilight. I know we're only 4 episodes in, but she hasn't been used as much as I'd like.

Certainly, a Rarishy collab episode hasn't come around since Season 1's Green Isn't Your Color.

A good episode, but not exactly a rewatchable one...

This episode was so bad i don't even have strenght to write how bad it was. F- never write Fluttershy again and if i meet Hamilton i will kick his ass.

i give this episode a 6/10, sorry but this episode felt kinda flat and seeing how Fluttershy was being a bitch towards her friends and everypony else was really uncomfortable to watch. What was Fluttershy's motivation to be such a jerk to all of her friends? Just to impress the customers? If so then it clearly didn't work, because the customers hated her too. This episode overall just felt like a copy of "Putting your hooves down". And an another thing I don't understand is why Rarity decided to pick Fluttershy to maintain her boutique in Manehatten when she could've asked Coco Pommel, who's obviously has more experience at fashion than Fluttershy. I don't know this season has some really flat episodes, I mean except the season opener pretty much all the episodes had a low score on my ratings.

Episode 1&2 was an 8/10
Episode 3 was a 6/10
Episode 4 is also a 6/10

Honestly, this episode felt like it was trying to be an improvement over Putting Your Hoof Down, but was riddled with its own problems. The massive inconsistencies from Fluttershy not knowing anything about fashion, to no explanation as to why Coco couldn't come and run the shop. The ending itself fell flat and was rushed.

Anyways, I decided to give this episode an 'A-', because I just loved Fluttershy in this episode - even though it turned out that there is something really wrong with her psyche and she should be thrown into the nuthouse for her actions. (Your diagnosis of schizophrenia is correct, I'm afraid.)

However, there is one other thing that needs to be addressed: Manehatten turns everypony into snobbish fashion-loving dumbbells! Manehatten must be leveled down to ctop the contamination in time! Also, the moral of the story: never out-Rarity Rarity, because it turns you an asshole

But in all seriousness: Fluttershy not being punished for her actions in the end is so stupid I don't even wanna waste a single character on it. :/
