Basic Personality: Misanthropic grump, constant work stress, and poor skills in getting his point across verbally leads to rash decisions, and a short temper on Seth's part.
After getting kicked out of the home at 18, Seth has been working non-stop to support himself and Buglemon. Since then Seth's life has entered a monotonous routine that has left him irritated and frustrated, leaving him with a persistent scowl, and short fuse. Though, even before this familial spat, Seth has always been an anti-social grump. He's not good with words, even being the type that stutters if pissed off enough, always leading to his side of the argument being disregarded which just angers him more. As such, he tends to be the type to put action before words. He doesn't go out of his way to be a dick, but doesn't go out of his way to be a friend either, which is probably why Buglemon is like, his only one. Amusingly, Seth loves Classical music, and is pretty well versed on the subject. Getting an instrument of his own has always been a small dream of Seth's, even if he turned out to be a complete hack at it, he'd loved the shit out of this dream instrument. Besides that, Seth isn't very ambitious and it's only until recently that this fact has started to bother him. Although, it's anyone's guess how having a monster Pinniped for a best friend didn't activate any "destined for adventure" flags in his mind.

Buglemon (Name Origin: Bugle one of the simplest brass instruments)

Elephant Seal Digimon
By contrast Buglemon is mellow, and laid back. He's rarely bothered by anything, letting most things slide like water off a duck's back. Buglemon has a big nose that he can use to play music that sound like Bugle songs. Like Seth, he's not one to talk much either, but while Seth lacks articulation, Buglemon personally resents the nasally nature of his voice. As a result, the Deep Saver Digimon prioritizes body language and horn sounds to express himself. Buglemon and Seth first met when the former was Mucusmon. The Digimon washed up on a beach, where the seven year old Seth found him, and took him home due to liking his shell a lot. It wasn't until Mucusmon came out his nose-like shell that little Seth realized that he had inadvertently kidnapped a living thing. He was about to request a trip back to the beach to return the little gastropod but Mucusmon stopped him by requesting to stay. They lived comfortably together for years, and Mucusmon eventually became Buglemon, whose voracious appetite put a strain on the food bill. The McDuff family argued about this with Seth's parents wanting the Rookie gone, Seth disagreed, and it eventually ended with the two rooming together in a small apartment in the city.

Attacks:
Reveille: Plays the bugle call/song of the same name. Reveille boosts morale; Allies feel re-energized and become highly alert. Knocked-out or sleeping allies may get a second wind/awaken upon hearing this.
Taps: Plays the bugle call/song of the same name. Taps has the opposite effect of Reveille, having energy sapping properties. Victims can become heavily demoralized, reactions ranging from lowered fighting quality, apathy, or straight up taking a nap in the middle of battle.

Both moves can be cancelled out by interrupting Buglemon's playing. Buglemon has no special offensive moves, cementing the rookie in a full-on support role.

General Info: A mollusk-like creature that has a shell that bares a passing resemblance to a human nose. It's said that Mucusmon's name and miserable expression are due to it constantly suffering from a cold. It talks like it's suffering from nasal congestion.

Snoremon

Attack(s): Nap-Time!: After saying this Snoremon goes to sleep, snoring loudly as he does so. Apparently this can prompt others to fall asleep too--it works on Seth at least. Though, I figure most enemies would just kick the little guy like a football because enemies can be dicks like that.
General Info: Snoremon are slimy little monsters that resemble Earth's "Blobfish". Or at least how a Blobfish looks when it has been dead for a while, it's generally assumed that this species of Digimon was born from the data of this popularized image/depiction.

FanFare Trumpetmon plays an extremely upbeat song with his nose. Allies within earshot become reinvigorated, and, for a short while, become noticeably stronger.
Trumpet Blare Makes a loud, harsh noise, powerful enough to shatter rock at close range. Enemies within range can be temporarily stunned from the deafening noise.
General Info: The goofy trumpet-like thing on Trumpetmon's back helps amplify the sound and range of his sound-based attacks.

Mega: Bravuramon???

Initially aimed for a reptile or insect, but the Elephant Seal decision took flight when I realized that a Blobfish-inspired monster would make a great in-training. But as I worked on the concept it kept coming up too plain. There was some mileage on a pirate direction, but it ended up getting too detailed, and there was another roadblock in the naming scheme. Eventually I remembered that the sound an elephant makes was called "trumpeting", and that stereotypically this would be shown as linked to its long trunk.(do they actually trumpet with their nose? I don't know) Even though elephant seals and elephants aren't the same thing it at least led to a nose to brass instrument-inspired music naming scheme.(and a less plain color pallet)

Seth was made with the intent of being Buglemon's opposite. I didn't want to design anything too stylish, something that expresses a fairly warm pallet and that Seth is a pretty simple guy; At least when it comes to dressing himself.
