This character design for Cheetara comes close to how she was presented in the first half of the "ThunderCats" pilot.

The illustration actually predates the pilot episode. Yes, I agree it does come close to how she was presented.  BTW. I do intend on reading your ThunderCats story but I have been busy lately writing a story that was recently commissioned. I will let you know when I have read it and give you my thoughts about it.

Leonard Starr, the head writer and uncredited co-creator of the show was a friend of mine. These are materials from his collection. He recently passed away.

Oh, I'm so sorry about his passing.

Because he hadn't been credited, I didn't know he was a co-creator of the show.

The show has had a major impact on my life and in a way the show is responsible for me still being alive.

I am very greatful to anyone and everyone who worked on the show.

May Leonard Starr rest in peace and I pray you find peace in regard to his passing.

A few months before he passed away I did another interview with him where we talked about his career in comic books and comic strips as well as his association with Rankin Bass. Parts of that interview will be reprinted in volume 15 of Mary Perkins On Stage which is being published by Classic Comics Press.

There is a very interesting story behind his contribution to the show that has not been in print before and one day I may put it all down on paper. I always said that the episodes that he wrote stood out from all the others in the series.

Thank you for your kind words.

My pleasure.  I'd be interested in reading anything that you post about Leonard Starr and I love seeing the things you post about The ThunderCats.  Enjoy your day!
