Description
A 30 second exposure. Taken in the basement of an abandoned house out in the boonies. - 2006Now, lurking in decrepit basements, taking photos, has become a pastime lately. Gives a thrill that one must experience in order to describe it.
-Generally labelled 'Urban Exploration', this photo is more along the lines of 'Rural Exploration'.
...I think Edgar Allan Poe would like this one. You think? ...Perhaps just the title, then.
...*crickets*... Oh, piffle... -just look it up.

The quality of light is outstanding, combine that with the very clever balancing of the three objects within the frame....and...well...you have a great photograph. Good job

The lighting does it all. The contrast will the unseen that surrounds us in the dark....a point of reference,the safe zone, the escape hatch.....as long as the light is there...we feel safe. Janet
