This is epic in it's "feel", it reminds me of days gone by, hiking the beach on S. Manitou, when we ran out of "beach", I had ah a 7 year old on one hip and a 10 year old on the other, the breakers were too high and the water too deep. We happenstanced on a beached wreck, same feel but not a beautiful as this. Wild man with a camera, I freaking love THAT! Be well.

There is a nice eerie effect to this caused by the coldness of it.

Whats the piece thats sticking out the side of it like a piece of metal?

Thanks, man! The metal? --Dunno. No idea what its purpose would be. Good observation!

Thanks! I tried it all! The way it is displayed appealled most ...for the time being. A contrasted B&W was tempting too. --

Whereabouts is this? I don't want to steal your idea or anything, heh, but I wouldn't mind visiting this place with a camera. Is it reachable via bike?

To me it looks like the right whales I saw lunging out of the ocean, to turn and crash back on the water. Your angle is just perfect to get that feeling of solid power and then you remind yourself that it is inanimate, still, empty and cold, bristling with iron spikes. It has life yet but brooding.
It would be a neat experiment to photograph it in the years to come and watch the changes nature makes.

A fascinating shot. The remains look kind of creepy, but there is an heir of mystery at the same time that makes it want you to take a closer look. To know how and why it got there. Great capture!
