I don't believe in superstitions but I still wish upon stars.________________________________
The first time I've taken photos in probably 4 months. Literally. So yes, this meant a lot to me, and I love it to death, but a friend (Shonee :devsilenceinnumbers
Yes, I love crosses. Part symbollic, part "that looks nice in this composition". Just something about them, though I'm not religious at all. Call me blasphemous all you want.
I still have trouble submitting photos. I want people to embrace my work and emotions as I do.

beautiful, emotive b&w shot. The eye is the draw here. The expression is just so forlorn and worn out, playing nicely with the title.
I have to agree with the description. Once, I have worked on something, and posted it, I find it hard to analyse it, until people comment on it and raise points. I have put this down to the image not being mine anymore - once it comes into the public domain it becomes a different animal. Hehe. That was such a crappy explaination - it is a complex thing. Or perhaps I am just too simple.
Anyway, a gorgeous portrait picture. If I could pick anything out as a constructive criticism, it would be that the depth of focus seems slightly too long - leaving the eye slilghtly blurry, but then perhaps you meant it that way, and it makes as much sense given the title and feel this way

This is at least the best portrait shot you've done yet, and maybe the best I've seen on here at all. The hair, the makeup, the contrast of the thick cross against your milky skin...it's all amazing. About the cross, you said it was symbolic but you're not religious....what does it symbolize to you? I think using the cross isn't blashphemous as long as you aren't disrespecting it. Again, amazing work. I really appreciate your talent.

This is a very beautiful picture, there is nothing negative that I can say about it. The hair is brilliant, matching the contrast provided by your makeup, the strap and the cross. It adds a sense of hiding, of denying something within yourself that you want terribly. The eye makeup suggests that you have been torn over this thing you have wanted for a long time and the lipstick accentuates your lips and ads to the suggestion of nearly-voiced things. The most striking things for me about this piece is where the strap cuts into the skin slightly; it makes you look soft, innocent and vulnerable, yet you are still willing to do whatever it takes to achieve your wish. The lighting in the picture is well-done, and the exposure is perfect. I am glad you decided to release this photo - very good work.

There is a high level of emotional attachment to your work. You pour into your art, a piece of yourself each time that you submit.
This has been for me one of the very reasons that I have loved your work for so long.
I appreciate, respect, and feel honored to be able to share in the moments that are preserved by you. Each detail is so beautiful, each expression of emotion is transferred so well.

I like this, theres contrast, and not in hue wise. but your eye shadow suggests you were crying, but it desnt show anywhere else. the choice of the cross really compliments the way your skin is seen. over all its a good shot.
