Bugs me, too.  OK, technically she can fire with her bow horizontally, but that's not a great way to do it, and the arrow... seems to be on the underside of the bow?

Love the character design.  Love all these SF and fantasy illustrations.  Quite fancy commissioning Chris to illustrate a project of mine.  But bows seem to be a blind spot for a lot of fantasy artists for some reason.

Still, what do I know?  Perhaps there's a really good reason why Chris put her hands round the way he did?
