Another beautiful shot! Fav+!
Just wondering. Do you get a lot are attitudes and angry people when taking shots with out asking..? I have done some shots in the city and I have been yelled and generally get bad attitudes... When I do go and ask for permission the the shot is no longer natural and pretty much useless..
How do you handle this?

I like it alot. I would love to capture pictures like that, but Iยดm scared of those who WONT be photographed hehe...
Do you ask them, or do you just shoot?

This shot totally captures that which is public transportation. The DOF allows you to understand the overall environment, while your focused subject says everything you want this photograph to say.
good Stuff Chris! Can't wait to see more

The man sitting four rows back look right at the camera is my favourite part of this photo. It's a great image overall, but he makes the photo for me.

Why is ISO 1600 so special? My D700 can handle it without problems...

as much as i love the d700 it's not quite a rangefinder, mate.

you said it best yourself, "...different world."
it's easy to put a ff sensor in a dslr; no one's done it with a little rangefinder.

oh my god ... seriously ... i love shooting that lens.
so very pleased. wish you lived near me -- after having looked at your work -- so you could shoot it and see for yourself, mate!

coxi In reply to kmetjurec [2009-09-09 19:03:22 +0000 UTC]
well.. if it doesn't matter anymore.. why go for 400. it's just more comfortable shooting a 50mm on 250th instead of a 60th in a subway.. and on the other hand, i guess it was taken at night, so i'd leave the camera on 1600 anyway.

i come back to DA after a year and a new submission from you sitting on the top of the pile. interesting
a very peaceful shot... everyone in their own space at the end of a day.
1600. WOW.

1600 ISO! Holy Fuck.
Does it perform well any higher than that? Did leica provide you with the lens, or was it already in your collection. I vaguely remember you talking about it on an uber blog
