Lucas, a good 20 or 30 years after the events of Mother 3. Adult Lucas design as inspired by [link]Yeah, as usual, I really tried to salvage the drawing's quality after the scanning process, and that's the best I could do. Worse than that is that I was an idiot and forgot that my sketch pad paper is larger in dimensions than my scanner, so you can probably tell a good chunk got cut off on the right side. It was just more grass, but it kind've lost its sense of symmetry now.
Not much I can do or say about it. You'll just have to take my word for it that it looks better on paper.

In 1914, Thousands of years after the events of Mother 3, a team of explorers arrived in the Nowhere Islands, which had sank beneath the ocean and had been buried under the Earth. Flint was still alive but Boney was not. Flint would meet his end looking down the barrel of an M1911A1. But Lucas would become king with Kumatora as his queen.

The thing is about this pic is that it probably did have to happen at some point... Still great though, love Lucas' design like this.

Yeah, unfortunately. But the good thing is that by the end of the story I'm confident that Lucas learns to keep on trucking.

It's hard to say technically because whatever character you control during a chapter [which is Lucas for 70% of the game if not more] becomes a silent protagonist, so you sort've ARE Lucas, BUT...
Yes. He develops throughout the story more than most Nintendo characters for sure, and becomes quite brave and determined by the end. If you've played Brawl's Subspace Emissary, they tried to compress and shorten his character development into the few scenes he was in, and they got the general idea.
It's just a lot more understandable and emotional in the actual Mother 3.

Ah, the Franklin Badge...
It is the badge that saved Luca's life...
It is also the very same badge that (indirectly) killed his brother Claus...
I guess Lucas must have mixed feelings by fitting it on his hat.

It's a sad reminder but I can't imagine he'd just throw it away. Something to remind him of the last time he got to embrace his brother.

it'd be nice if he'd had a wife or kids or something...god. i'm going to cry now. *sniffle sniffle* but this is great and I agree that Lucas would look like that when he's older.

Awww, this brought a tear or two to my eyes. I like how you kept the Franklin Badge in his design, how he keeps the striped pattern from his original shirt, and how Claus' helmet and Boney's collar are in front of their respective graves.

Thanks. At first I couldn't think of a way to show Lucas from the front and show the fronts of the gravestones [with their names and such] at the same time. It was originally gonna be a side view, but you can't read the names like that.
So I just said screw it and put Lucas's frontview floating in the clouds.
